Vibram Disc Golf (www.vibramdiscgolf.com) is proud to present the Players Cup, the World Match Play Championship. We have taken the March Madness model and applied it to disc golf. Over three days (Oct 21-23) in Austin, TX, on the rolling hills of Twin Parks, we will crown the champion of the final premier event of the 2011 season.

Here is a quick review of some of the notable players in each quadrant. Who do you think is going to win and advance to the Final Four on Sunday, October 23rd?

PDGA Quadrant
Nate Doss wins the World Championship, the Kansas City Wide Open and Vibram Open NT events. Nate is the top seed in the PDGA Quadrant.

Will Schusterick is the current US Open champion, made it to the Final Four at last years Players Cup. He is the #2 seed in the PDGA Quadrant.

Barry Schultz won US Masters, is ranked 11th in the world, and is the #3 seed in the PDGA Quadrant.

Disc Nation Quadrant
Nikko Locastro won TexasStates and the Alabama DGC on his way to the National Tour (also presented by Vibram Disc Golf) title. He is the reigning Players Cup champion. Nikko battled for the top ranking all year and is currently ranked #2 in the world. Nikko is the #1 seed in the Disc Nation Quadrant.

Paul Ulibarri won the Brent Hambrick Memorial, finished fourth in the National Tour and followed his 2010 breakout year with another solid showing. Uli is the #2 seed in the Disc Nation Quadrant.

Eric McCabe, ranked #13 in the world and the 2010 World Champion is the #3 see in the Disc Nation Quadrant.

Paragon Quadrant
Dave Feldberg won the European Open and is ranked third in the world after battling all season with Nate and Nikko for that coveted top spot. Dave is the #1 seed in the Paragon Quadrant.

Paul McBeth started the year strong winning the Memorial. He also won the Beaver State Fling, on his way to a strong 3rd place in the National Tour. Paul is the #2 seed in the Paragon Quadrant.

Ricky Wysocki has been steadily improving during his rookie season and captured the inaugural PDGA Championships. Ricky is the #3 seed in the Paragon Quadrant.

DGA Quadrant
Josh Anthon won the Pittsburgh Flying Disc Open, is ranked fourth in the world, and continues to be a force to be reckoned with on the tour. Josh is the #1 see in the DGA Quadrant.

Cale Leiviska, ranked fifth in the world, was shut out of National Tour victories, but with his strong and consistent game, he will be a force in match play. Cale is the #2 see in the DGA Quadrant.

Avery Jenkins, the 2008 World Champion, is looking put an exclamation point on his 2011 season with a strong showing at the Players Cup. He is ranked 16th in the world and is the #3 seed in the DGA Quadrant.

Devan Owens won the inaugural King of the Lake National Tour event and is ranked 18th in the world. He is the #4 seed in the DGA Quadrant.
