The land owner for one of our temporary venues has screwed us on price , so we're looking for a new location to host events at. Initially we're after a 12 hole minimum, moving to 18.
We're doing the initial scouting in a couple of weekends time, and should get a first draft 12 hole design done with a bit of luck. Then the plan is to play it a few times, to get a feel for it and tweak it.

So my question is: How many rounds do people think it takes to "bed in" a new course?

I guess I mean "competition ready". Bearing in mind that in the UK we have significantly less golfers, it's likely that the course will have one Pro and one intermediate player locally, there won't be a great deal of feedback on the course until it's used in competition.
