Howdy,
The San Francisco Disc Golf Club (SFDGC) is raising funds to install the first permanent disc golf course in San Francisco. This 18-hole world-class course will be located in Golden Gate Park, the crown jewel of the San Francisco Parks System.
It took us more than eight years of struggle to gain the approval for a course in Golden Gate Park, and now the SFDGC must raise all the funds to purchase the materials and construct the course.
Due to the complex nature of installing a course in such a heavily-used urban park, we are responsible for much more than just baskets, tees and signage. We have to raise money for path construction, erosion control, tree protection and more. This has brought the average cost per hole up to $2,500.
We are looking to the national disc golf community for help in funding the course, hoping that other people & clubs will see the benefit of establishing a world-class course in San Francisco.
More details at: http://www.sfdiscgolf.net/sfdgc_hole_sponsorship.htm
Each tee sponsor gets a bronze plaque the exact size of a disc embedded in the concrete at the very back of the tee, recognizing the generosity of everyone who has stepped up and made the effort to help build a world-class disc golf course in San Francisco. A sample is on the web-page above.
All contributions are tax deductible.

Thanks!
