What happened to the Advanced points race? Because I think Steve Slater is in the running. (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/playerstats.php?PDGANum=23634&year=2006)

Steve Slater is on pace to play 50+ events. I know for a fact he is over 40 events at this point. He is going to set a new PDGA record for the most events played in 1 year.

Isn't 47 the current record? Feldberg, I think.
Slater can do that easy, it's looking like.

Are you too cool for 1-day tournaments?

Alex I'll take total misinterpretations of a post for 300.
I was just saying that it is easy to play that many tournaments in a year playing a lot of one day tournaments (esp. if you play 2 in a weekend when most people are playing 1 over the same time period).
The most events I played in one year was 38 where only 12 of those were on day events.
One day events just dont happen in this area, so it's tough to get in over 40 living in NC.

Most tourneys around here are 1-dayers. Only stuff like A-tiers and league/club/state championships are 2-days. I didn't take offense, just didn't understand your meaning.

Clicking the link in the first post is the easiest.
Or you can click on Tournament Points and Money Standings on the main page along the right hand side. Scroll down and search for All Amatuers by points.

I saw Steve on Saturday in Hamilton. He hit an ace & took 1st place. On Sunday, 300 miles later I talked to him after the Dubs Tourney. He's officially at 42 events played. He will be doing the double next weekend at Springfield and the Homie. He is definitely goint to hit 50 events this year.

I just want to say Congrats to Steve. He's played a crap load of events this year. I know for a fact he's played 49 now. 2 are not reported from the same IL TD and he was at an event in Texas this past weekend. I heard he had played 50 but i'm not 100% on that. I'm sure he's considering playing the last PDGA event of the year in Milwaukee since he's only 2 hours from there. Way to bring the points race home to Illinois Steve!
At the award's at the tournament in Texas they said that it was his 50th event.

Nice Job Steve, it was a pleasure staying with You, Tom, and Hutter at the Michiana Open. I was burned out after 26 sanctioned, and about 10 unsanctioned events in '05. 51 Sanctioned is very impressive!
