an owner of a Play it again sports in Arizona wants some advice on replenishing a course. There is a really nice 18 hole course that all 18 baskets are rusting and falling apart. Any advice on proposal ideas on how to approach the city to help with the project? or what about league or mini ideas to raise money for course? any smart guys / girls out there with a plan? thanks for the time

has the course fallen into dis-repair due to a lack of usage? if so the parks may be slow to help.
What i would do is find a local Boy Scout troop and see about getting their assistance in cleaning up the course and then you could possible hold a clinic to teach them the sport. This way you get some help in the upkeep, plus you can introduce new players to the sports.
If you go to the city with a Boyscout Troop willing to help, and ask for monetary support, then they might be more willing. I know that my local Parks Dept. was more than happy to help financially since they would not have to pull any Park Employee's to help. If they wont write out a check, they will ususally buy any supplies you might need.
Also, do you have a local club in the area? Most people dont know this but Clubs that partner up with Innova Discs can purchase baskets that they install and maintain at a local course for $270.00 versus the $300.00 dealer/wholesale price. With retail being $350.00 that extra $80.00 off per basket comes in handy.
Good luck getting this course back up and running. Once you do, be sure to hold events out there weekly if possible. This helps to generate a vested interest in the course and will make recruiting workers for clean up and maintenance projects much easier.
