I recently experienced the pleasure of having two hole in ones in one round, and within three holes (first one was 275' slightly uphill and straight with no trouble, and the second was 362', 25' uphill with tree on right in front of hole). Just wondering if anyone else has done this, and if so, please share!! Also, if you have seen anyone else do this, share also!

While I was in college in Bellingham, WA, I saw a guy ace hole 1, a short, tunnel, hyzer shot with an MRV. ON THE VERY NEXT HOLE, he pulls out THE VERY SAME DISC and aces hole #2, a short, tunnel anhyzer shot. Holy cow. That's what I call a keeper.

Not exactly the same, but back in the 80s, I understand a husband and wife aced the same hole in the same league round while playing in different groups.

Both stories are pretty crazy...anyone with three aces in a round are welcome to post also!

A few years ago in the TX10 Finals in Lewisville, I caught up to Barry Schultz's group and watched them finish out the round. We get to hole 18 and Barry skip aces it. I come to find out after that shot that he had already aced #5 earlier in the round.

i've had three consecutive aces, all witnessed. all were on the same hole though warming up, tried for a fourth but it didn't go.
that hole is only 195 flat with a few trees to stop righty hyzers.

also, two consecutive aces during play, about a dozen two ace rounds, ace in consecutive rounds many times, aces during tournament play incl world champ's, once, a pretty well known midwestern golfer started a tournament with an ace on the first hole and i shot second and put my disc right on top of his. i've had a roller ace in pasadena, skip aces in north carolina and texas, a tomohawk ace in michigan and way too many rhbh aces around the world to list. the longest was 417 feet, flat ground over a ravine/creek bed in phoenix.

i've been witness to a former world juniors champion getting his first hole in one ever, while i was using the practice basket. he was playing with his dad and the normal celebrating followed, when they moved off the tee and finished the hole and were standing at the second tee in full view of the first, i stepped up for my first shot of the day and aced it.
i ended up playing through with them and aced hole number 8 also.

if i could only learn how to drive for distance i might be able to play this game.

Two years ago there was a foursome playing where 3 of the guys aced the same hole one right after another. About a 250 footer downhill. And no....I wasn't the fourth guy in the group who DIDN'T ace the hole.

I've done it twice. I also saw someone ace a hole, reach in their bag and pull out another disc and ace it again. Of course that was in practice.

I did that august 2003 at Findlay O.H
Aced #4 Then #16 both about 250ft short open hysers.
Not the same exact disc but a twin copy 175gr hard avair.
Bud was with me that is pretty new so he had a great time that day.

I have also done this twice, in casual play, the first time I aced hole 1, birdied 2, aced hole 3. 5 under after 3 holes!

Both 2 ace rounds were in High Point NC

In the 2000 Pro/Am Worlds, grand master Rock Searle did two aces, back to back in one round, on holes 5 and 6 (yellow, short) on the Original Course at Hudson Mills. Two throws, two aces. Still a record for Worlds, as far as I know.

Wow Ave Joe, you must be a great player. Who are you?

no one of any consequence or significance, just responding to the two and three ace topic.

*waves hand in front of face*, "nothing to see here, you will wake up feeling refreshed and ready to play, enjoy your round"

May 05 2004, 01:24 PM
Terry, do you mean Monster, not Original? I guess it would be possible playing red tees, but 5+6 on yellows seem more likely. A lefty friend of mine (Eric Wilcox) in a casual round, aced numbers 11 and 13 with identical orange KC Teebirds.

Dont have 2 aces in one round myself, but I did happen to be a part of something pretty cool! Back in 95. maybe 96 me and some friends decided we wanted to go play Horizons Park in Winston-Salem, NC for the Piedmont Random Doubles Tour. We get there early to throw a round before the event. It was myself, Jason Ramsey #10362, and Joey Hill #11102 playing in the group. On hole #5 I step up and Ace! Then 2 Holes later #7, Joey steps up and hits an Ace! On the very next next hole #8 Jason steps up and slams a ACE!! All three of us within 4 holes hit an ACE! It was soooo cool! Happy group for sure. :D

A guy I know went to our local doubles tourney. He played a warmup round and aced two different holes. Then playing doubles he aced again(a different hole) the same day. But I have something better than that. A very well know poster had his FIRST three aces on the same hole on back to back to back throws. NASTY! I'll let him tell you about it if he reads this! :D

May 14 2004, 01:58 PM
Sup EOG! I had something like that happen to me. It was Hole #2 Wellspring Short Tee. I aced it 3 times in a row. Except It was during different rounds and on different days. Same ROC every time. That's a great hole to watch ACES go in!

There was a team at Am World Dubs that both hit an ace in the same round. That round got them back into the finals.

i aced hole 6, next shot aced hole 7 in high point. the next day i aced hole 17.

in a doubles tournament patricks williams aced hole 2, runs down and pulls it out of the basket. i throw right after him and ace it to split a $180 ace pool

I once played a casual round with a disc golfer from Abilene who was playing my home course. I asked if he wanted to play a round and so we got started. I aced # 2 (1st ace). Then we get to # 7 and he nailed it dead center. That was the closest I have ever been to seeing two aces in one round.

btw - I think I lost that round.. doh

May 23 2004, 11:11 PM
I had 2 in one round last year at Farm Life Disc Golf, Williamston, NC. Hole #1 209ft. hyzer with a big bead, and hole #3 210ft. blind anhyzer with a classic roc. I was ready to go home after that. sad thing is that I only shot 5 under.

May 24 2004, 01:54 AM
I believe Chris Heeren aced hole 5 in warmup at the Bevier Blast, then pulled out the same disc during the round and aced it again...
