Which Gateway Plastic is the Straightest?
discgolfreview

depends on the disc but if i had to generalize...
i'd say the overstable discs are generally straightest in H plastic. the stable discs are generally straightest in S.
i'm sure there are others that can fill it in with more detail...
It all depends on the disc. And it depends on how you throw and what kind of disc you want. Why don't you give us some more details.
You guys are trying to tell me that the demon and the speed demon fly straight? since when?

I'm looking at a Sabre, Element, and Wizard.

Where did you hear that? They aren't straight discs by any means, but the Straightest Demon is the H and the Straightest Speed Demon is the H.

S or E Sabre. Most people don't have the technique to make the S Sabre really work.
S or E Element. E is the straightest. S actually has fade. H has the most fade.
S Wizard. Always.

I would agree that the s wizard is your best bet for straight, and once it's beat in, it will be the sweetest disc... :D element, i haven't thrown the h, but i love the 2 S's that I have. they keep pretty much any line that they are on. actually, just today i got stuck in some nasty bushes :mad:but i threw a tomahawk with my element and it came out straight, turned over flat and landed 10 ft from the pin. couldn't have been any better.

what do you mean by this? i have 2 e sabres tht i love, but was thinking about getting an S because i love S plastic. care to explain?

Off the shelf, most molds with smaller rims (Sabres,Wizards,Blaze etc.) are straighter in "S".

What he probably means is, the "matted" S plastic has more surface friction than E and throws without proper technique( ex. Turbulance or turning the disc over right out of the hand) will be exaggerated with S more than E, and appear to be more understable!
But if you are smooth you will have much more forward penetration with S in the faster discs on deceleration!

Most people that throw S Sabres consider them short, understable discs. They take a special technique to really fly far, but they will fly far. Usually, they take a lot of spin and height, but they are very consistant. Get one, because if you don't like it for air shots, they make awesome rollers.
I thought we had a "don't ask, don't tell" program here in disc golf. I mean, we obviously don't discriminate against colors...
