Can anyone compare an Orc (proline or Champion) to an early run Valk, not the flat Valks but the less stable ones? Im wanting to try an Orc but just wondering what people think of them and if they can compare them to a Valk at all. ie. more stable, less stable, etc

Both of these discs are understable for me... but I tend to turn over most overstable drivers. The Valk seems to have more stability regardless of the weight or plastic. Try the Orc... you might like its ability to helix!

Um...I am sure that you aren't turning over most overstable drivers.

If you thinking that you are turning things over then take a look at your technique. More than likely you are rolling over your wrist.

The pro line Orc and the champion Orc are worlds apart in stability. The pro Orc is less stable than a Champion Valk possibly similiar in stabilty to a dx Valk.
The Champion Orc is far more stable than a Champion Valk or Champion Beast. If you have a big arm it's possible to turn over a Champion Orc, but if you throw less than 460 ft the Orc should remain stable especially in the heavier weights.

I disagree. I throw in the 330-350' range and turn over Champ Orcs as easily as Champ and CE Valks.

I find the Champion Orc more high-speed understable, but more low-speed overstable, than Champ Valks. My impression is that the Orc seems to be significantly faster and to have more glide than the Valk. For me, the Orc is a better choice than a Valk on low ceiling shots and in the wind because it can be thrown on a lower line without sacrificing distance. YMMV.

both these discs are inconsistant from disc to disc in the champion plastic

FYI, Im trying to get a comparison of the CE VALKS (the older ones but NOT the flat ones) and the ORC, proline or Champion....

If thats true, sounds like a disc i need to try, I throw a low line drive for distance.

I have never thrown a CE Valk, but do have alot of experience with the champion Orc.

Basically it is my favorite flat line distance driver. Typically I will throw it anywhere from 390-420ft on a regular basis about 8-10 feet off the ground in a straight line. I would never call the disc understable but it does give some s-curve flex to the flight to gain distance. I would say the fade is less then a champion beast. It is slightly more stable then a champion beast.

I know two people here in Birmingham that turn over Orcs. Me and a top open player. Both of us are "big arms" my avg distance competition throw is 430-440ft, and his is 525-550ft. But both of us have the same technical flaw with our throw. We break our wrists, this will turn just about anything over, even firebirds, monsters, whippets, and flicks.

I would not throw the Orc with an anhyzer and expect it to come out, it will hold the line until it dives nose first into the dirt.

The Orc was modeled after the beast, 99% of the people cannot tell the difference in the flight/distance of the two discs.

Beast is just a more stable valkyrie.
