I am wondering if anyone sells/has a good idea on how to jimmy up a Pull Cart. I'm gettin more & more lazy by the day & feel that these carts are a great way to enjoy more golf with less fatigue.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

Try a jogging stroller. Just take the frame out of your bag and drop it in the seat.

That's sweet, kinda expensive for my broke butt.
I am thinking of getting a regular golf pull cart & converting it into a Disc Golf cart, Iv'e seen pro's like
Rick Voakes & Scott martin using them.
Thanks for the info mabey i'll shoot it by the wife for x-mas

I saw that earlier. ih? For the same price you can get a jogging stroller from my local Sportsmart. You'll get and under-seat and back-of-the-seat storage area. And a canopy over your discs so you don't have to put the full bag in it. And some jogging stollers have these cool little footrests where little people like me can sit!

Thanks I will look into that.
The most effective Pull cart I saw was at the Ace Race this guy had a regular fold up pull cart with 2 Storage boxes he said he bought at wal-mart for like $15 (both)
The straps go around the boxes & secure them in place & are easy to remove. The storage was water tight & had twice the capacity of any Disc Golf bag.
They may not be ideal for every round of Disc Golf
(I.E, Super elevation changes, crowded tourneys, ect.) but for the most part it would be a great tool.
I'm going to try & build my own rig, I'll post pics on how it went & mabey help some shmo in the future,
Leagues about to start, later
The hit and sit is pretty cool. I like how Larry has his set up...
The jogging strollers will work, and if you have one- by all means go for it. Me personally- I would never be seen pushing a baby stroller around a disc golf course.
Building your own is the best way to go, if you are trying to save a buck. I have had mine for over two years, and it is still holding up. I even have a cheap pull cart- I bought it off ebay- icluding shipping it was $11. Then I use a plastic file box secured to the bottom to hold all the plastic, and I have a golf-mate cooler that keeps the CFO's in reach. I also bought one of those bags that go underneath the cart in between the wheels for more storage. I can't remember how much that was, but all that extra storage is well worth it. I'll try and take a pic and post it...
Good luck!

Alright, _nix_ I am NOT coming after you, but...
My main problem with the homemade stuff is it looks horrible and unless you secure everything super-tight it rattles and shakes and makes a lot of noise. The only good homemade I've seen is Mike Raley's, painted wood box with a handle sticking out and a padded seat on top. I just like the stroller since there's no duct tape or hose clamps or anything else like that. But, to each their own, I'm sure yours is great-looking.

COLD FROSTY ONES :D
I should have guessed. I got the 'cold' part right at least... :p
Okay here goes ya. You can see in one of the photos where the cart took a hit, and lost a little chunk of plastic (thaks a lot, Johnny!) The pics were really large if I just posted them (even if i resized them) so I just made a link, where they are pretty small ...

A couple of things to consider.
I have two golf carts. One handmade from scratch and one based on a golf cart. Each has it's merits.
The guy who used to sell discgolf carts was Colonel Kent Bray (sp?) Houston Flying Disc Society member (www.hfds.org). He had a designed canvas carrier that mounted on a ball golf cart. $150 in cost I think (carrier and cart). He is out of business at this point (I think) but occasionally puts one on the market.
That aside, before you buy, call a couple of clubs around your area. I picked up two golf carts for free out of the garbage at the city club here. They are actually better than the new ones, bigger wheels, higher ground clearance.
I have used a couple of different strategies but the best IMO is to use milk crates ( I actually have a coke crate that is awesome, perfect for discs and longer than most milk boxes). They take a beating and don't fall apart. However, they aren't waterproof. Now I have two of the Walmart boxes mounted on a 4 ft by 6 inch slat screwed to the golf cart frame. When the cart is sitting flat (not being pulled) they sit at about 45 degrees making it easy for the lids to be removed at an angle thus keeping everything dry inside. Again, they are very light weight and may be prone to breakage but they make for a very light cart and again have lids.
Mount as low as possible, especially if you play any hills. I've had, and seen a few tipovers when boxes are mounted too high.
My home made from scratch is the best although it weighs a ton. It is waterproof and has oversized rubber tires (Home Depot $13/wheel). You can get any configuration you want with this option but you have to have the tools and time to make what you want.
Good luck with the project.

Chris H. main thing to worry about is getting the weight distributed evenly so your wheels do not get warn out so fast. I have gone through 3 carts over 6-7 years and all due to wheel issues. also make sure that the bag mount area is low enough the cart does not fall over if your cooler is empty. (which is a sin) :D
C-dub how long have you had your current cart? it is a big, bad asss bag-boy (i think) with the wheels in the front...should last you a while, i would hope!

*#($...There isn't $20 worth of plastic on that thing, though a waterproof box is a key.
