I don't have anyone to whine to, so I will just do it here...

My car was broken into on monday, the stereo, a bunch of CDs, my wallet, my checkbook, and other random things were stolen. The thief had already charged over $150 on my card before I cancelled it. This was all ok and I have handled it with little irritation. Until...
I just went out to my car to put a golf disc in the trunk that I just got in the mail. Alas, my golf bag is gone. Why does someone need to steal my disc golf bag? What significance would it serve to a common thief. The good thing is, it appears (not sure if they are all there because I have about 60 in my trunk, and it is hard to keep track) they dumped all the discs out before taking the bag, and I presume they then used the bag to haul of my stereo and the other contents of my car that were stolen. But come on, IT WAS MY DISC GOLF BAG!!! It was a birthday present from my parents over a year ago! It had quad shocks that I loved, etc. How stupid can people be sometimes, really irrates me to think someone used MY $80 golf bag to haul stuff out of MY car, and then probably just threw it in a dumpster somewhere.

ARGH!

S**T your whinning about just your bag. Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. I recently had both my friend cars broken into at home and they stole his bag and discs, and then his pool stick from the other. Left his girlies purse with cards and all. Imagine losing your just broke in right babies too. Dont get me wrong, I really feel sorry for you both, but imagine the whole kit and kaboodle gone? Since then hes started putting a big a** letter on all his discs so theyre visible from far. Looks ugly on the ce but very effective. Anyway just thought looking at the other half may give you a reason to look at the silver lining on that big ugly gray cloud that feel on you. Wouldnt you just love to find the guy caring you bag around as a bag pack? He he he

I hear ya on how badly that sucks. I forgot to lock my car doors before work today. Luckly I have nothing of importance in it, and a **** good thing I took my face plate to my stereo with me. Surpisingly all my discs and my bag were still in the truck. Maybe the people who wen through the car dont know the value of the discs.

I feel your pain. My bag was stolen at the beginning of the year. You never realize how dependent you are on a certain putter until it's gone. Also, if you count up all the money spent on the discs, bag, quad shocks, birdie bag, etc it was worth more than my stereo. There's nothing like showing up at your course all set to play a round when you open your trunk and realize your discs aren't there.

Ugh.

I had something similar happen to me when I lived in SD CA. My car had been broken into about 4 times and various items had been stolen (It was an old '74 VW Bus ... pretty easy to get in to). The last thing the theives took was an old Crag Du, Chouinard pack I had carried around climbing with me for years. i could have cried ... I was so ****** off.
I left SD and moved to Flagstaff AZ the next day ... had enough of the thieving crap.

This guy tim at one of our local courses had the same thing happen to him, but he told me that over $300 in new plastic was gone too. What's happening to our local parks?

I had this happen two years ago at our local Ice Bowl. They got in my truck while I was not 40 ft from it and took my bag, with all of my babies and two disc sleeves that fit in your bag full of all CE plastic. The good stuff. Lost over $400 on that deal.
What makes it worse, was that it was a disc golfer that took it. They were the only peole there. On top of that I donated $100 to the Ice Bowl. It was a very expensive day.

On an upside to that, I was recently a dumbazz and left my bag on the tailgate of my truck. All of my plastic and my cell phone. Didn't discover for it 20 miles. They tracked me down that night and I got everything back.

Discgolfer steals my bag and non-disc golfer returns my bag.

Go figure. :o

Ryan, I have several Discraft disc that I do not use. Let me know what you are looking for and I will ship what you want if you are willing to pay for the shipping. Just trying to help out a fellow disc golfer :)

GirlyMon,
Thanks so much for the offer, however the thieves evidently didn't take any of my discs, they dumped the discs out of my bag and stole the bag. I'm not 100% that all the discs are there because there are about 60 odd discs in my trunk and I haven't done inventory of them after the incident, but the important discs seem to be there. I have all my Z-predators and X-wasps, so I am in good shape in regards to discs. Just bagless :(

Thanks for your offer though, I really appreciate it.

Yeah, I had my bag stolen over the summer.

Some people on here hooked me up with great deals on a new bag. Too bad that since I didn't have a job this summer I couldn't buy any replacement discs.

One good thing, JJ recently got back one of his 10x rocs that was stolen over the summer.

Some people really like the birdie bag. I have one and use it on occasion, like when it is really hot and I am sweaty, or in the rain to dry my hands and even my disc before I leave the umbrella. The bag is filled with very fine sawdust. All it does is absorb moisture. Give it a try!

By the way, I like living in NW Kansas for lots of reasons; clean air, beautiful sky, less crowds, great schools, and low crime! You don't get to go to Wal-Mart or Krispy Kreme as much as you would like, but it's the price I am willing to pay!
