If any of y'all boys make it out to Rocky Mount, Mittenz thinks he left his favorite pro-D challenger on the Farmington Course this past Saturday. I'm sure he would be much obliged to get it back, especially before the crosstown. It should have "Mitch Sonderfan 17998" on it.

We have already raised $450-$500 added cash. Everyone we know that this is a tough weekend ( mothers day) but we sure would love the support and we are doing our best to make this a great event. We have between 25-30 people pre-reg'd right now and we want 90. Here are some other things we are doing.
Cost of trophies will not be deducted from the entry fee.
$450-500 added Cash. Any pro divison with 3 or more players will get a slice of the money.
Free lunch on Sat. ( not deducted from entry fee).
Pros will recieve a S.S.S.S inaugural disk (Not deducted from entry fee).
AM's that "place" will recieve a award voucher that can be taken to our onsite proshop and pick their own prizes.
Big payouts.
.
Wlimington and surrouding areas are 2 hrs from Sanford. We always have a great time when we come down east, we want to offer you a great time in Sanford.
We have a good chance at putting in another course here in Sanford. This tourny has influence on what that course will end up being like. So please check out our thread get the info and pre-reg. If you cant make it spread the word.
And if i havent said this we need your support.
Thanks

Word Dubbs. Our baskets are "played out". Im sure Scott & Moe are open minded to any ideas. As for the layout, im dying to get that lot across the street expanded into play. It would really open the place up & clear some congestion during tournament play. I'm not sure if that idea of moving holes there has been shot down thru the parks dept.

So any scores from dubbs? A friend had a bit of an emergency and was without a car, so I was too late to make it. I did get out there today, and found a sweet disc on hole eight. It has no name or number, but I bet whoever lost it would really like it back. (It's no CE ROC, but a pretty cool disc) If you can ID about where it was and what it is, I'll have it with me at the course tomorrow for da monthly. Otherwise, you won't find it on ebay, but it might be in my bag! ;)

Sorry I don't have exact score, but I am pretty sure that Rory took first cash, and DP took 2nd. Rory also got a Champ Sidewinder for CTP on 13, and a ??? disc for another CTP(9?). DeP took the $ CTP on #2.
Not a big group out, but we still had plenty of fun.

Inland Greens back nine is installed and playin sweeeeeet!! Like a friggin Garden of Eden. Green fees are staying low too, as in $4 for 18 holes, and $7 for all day, so says Beetle.
Dubs Thursday night 6:00.
The back has some of the shorter holes on the course but more dangerous placements than the front . I wanna meet the arm that can reach #14.
Thanks Pat for all your hard work and effort.
Yo, if the back nine is as sick as the front, that is one sweet ***** course. Let's get the Azelea on both of these courses, and let this guy that runs Inland Greens know that we can bring him business.

Just to let everyone know, Robert Wynne was killed in a car wreck this morning.
Details on his funeral and that kind of thing will be posted on the 3 rivers website (http://www.geocities.com/three_rivers_discgolf)
Wow, that is truly sad and shocking news. Robert was one of the first people I met outside of my 'local' DG friends, and always had a good word, and was especially cool when I was a really new. A fun person to play with, and I am sure an even petter person all around. I didn't know him well, but I will really miss him.
And MTL, I read your other post about a memorial or something for his kid, and am 100% percent behind it. Just let me know how I can help.

Very sad news.....Robert was a great guy and such a positive influence on the sport of disc golf. He always spoke about his son and how HIS skills were improving. I'm glad I got to play a round with him last month and share some laughs. He was a big giver to the sport, we need more like him.

I vote New Bern, just because we don't compete there much w/o dubs anymore, and it could use some play. No reason we can't make 3Rivers at Kinston a kind of memorial too.
Although I'm dying to get to New Bern, I think the centralized location of Kinston will result in a better turnout for all . We need a strong representation from REALeigh and all of the DEP counties. Save the date.........

You may set a minumum bid recieved for your item as well.
Items we currently have...

Considering the following:
making 18 a par 4. Trying to come around the ballfield (left field) some and then into the woods, kind of towards hole 10's tee. Still kicking it around some.
Making 10 a raised basket (to add some elevation) and to the left of the current placement in the grass toward the road.
Harold has made some additional recommendations but it would require some hole redesigns and to take some of the "flukiness" out of several holes. Of which, the Club has not really discussed in great detail to date.
Would love to have your input into the discussions. Our next meeting is at my house, Wed., 10/4 at 7.

I really like those ideas a lot. Even though I am not a 'higher level' player I still like the fact that my home course is known as one of the toughest tests of disc golf in NC. Considering the number of quality courses in our state, that is an honor we should strive to preserve and maybe, even more importantly, try to enhance.
A few years ago, a few of us marked some alt tees on most every hole, at that time it was more just for the fun of it than anything else. They really were a cool change of pace, and made for a less demanding course with very little physical changes that would change the play of the original layout. I think that is what the club is trying to do, and I would love to throw some of those ideas around again, since that seems to be what the majority of the club wants to do with the new additions.
From what I have read on the NHDC WEBSITE (http://newhanoverdiscgolf.com/) there are a lot of good folks involved, doing a lot of hard work. It has inspired me to get off my buTT and do a little more. I'd like to come out for the workday this Sat., but my transportation is a little shakey. Holla if anyone is coming by my way (Pine Valley) and I am there.Looking forward to the next meeting also. Really scare y'all if I show up there too right! ;)
