I have 2 protos. They have the best grip of any Wizards.

Too bad they wouldn't make a regular run of them...

I have a proto wizard also, it was my first wizard and it was good enough to make me get 5 more in the S plastic and I also have 2 in the H plastic. The proto plastic definitely feels a little different, but it is a good feel. Not that I would ever say that the feel of S plastic is bad. I second the agreement that another batch in that plastic would be nice. Would be a great disc for upshots because of all the feel I get for it in my hand.

I had one of these. They felt like the rubber on a Pencil Eraser. Very grippy. I messed around with it and it felt great but it never made it into my bag as I did not like the subsequent releases of plastic that they came in.

I have had a bunch of Wizards and Wizard-like discs in various plastics (e.g., H-Chief) and find that the Proto Wizards are the my favorite. Thank goodness I picked up several at the time they were available.

Then we need to donate some plastic to the recycle bin.

Ask Dave McCormack, he owns Gateway , has a thread , and responds regulaurly.

I know Dave, he is a good guy and great for the sport. While it would be cool to have a wizard in that plastic, it isn't a top concern for me. My S wizards obey quite well and I am looking forward to getting one in the Super Glo... then no reason to not play DG ever again lol.

I have a few protos sitting around and took a closer look at them. They are very nice, but I stil don't mind current runs.

Love my Proto's. Love my Firm S's. Honestly don't see a nickels worth of difference from one to the other as a putter or as a mid-range. I practice and play with them interchangeably. I can three putt from ten feet with either one. :p

Of my 34 Wizards, two are "Proto's" but I much prefer my Super soft 161's over all of them. Sorry, I don't know if they are "S" or "H". They just have blue wizards on the front.

And I thought having 32 Teebirds was bad.....
