Question : If an Advanced Grandmaster wins their division at AM Worlds for 2005 and then turns Pro at the first of 2006, will that person have an automatic invite to the Pro Worlds in 2006 as a Pro Grandmaster, since they would not have made any Pro points in 2005 to qualify for 2006 Pro Worlds ?

Top 5 MA1 and the winners of the other divisions (at Am Worlds) get automatic invites to the next year's Pro Worlds.

So go win Richard! Then you won't have to worry about it... :)

Otherwise you'll have to go on the waitlist, and typically--from my observations--you'll get in anyway.
