Sometimes we wonder if there will be other women at a tournament we are attending.

Post here what event you are planning to make and we can try to have larger turnouts!!

I'll start...

July 30 Memphis, TN. Orgill Innaugural One-day C tier. Pro Women

I know many will be at Worlds and good luck to you all!!

Wouldn't it be nice to go to the PDGA Tour page, and be able to click on a "women" button, to list all the events (in your selected states?) that have women on the pre-registered list, along with a column showing number of women in each division? Of course, you could then click on the event name and it brings you to the regular event pre-reg list. Anyone know the programmers? Send that request to them. Seems like a simple programming request to me. I'm not a woman, but I am a TD, and I think that would be a very useful tool for both women and staff. --marc queen, ohio

What you are saying sounds good, but I don't think it would matter to have it seperated between men and women, just that TD's compile and post such information. Start with the TD's, which can easily be it's own thread.

discappointment.com is a website where you can post your tourney itinery. It's a pretty neat idea. People post their schedules, and then you can search by state, gender, division, name, etc. to see who's playing what tourney. I think it started this year (not sure if that's true), and I'm not sure how successful it has been.

At IOS #1 this year we had 2 pro women and 7 intermediate women. At IOS #2 we had 4 pro women, 3 advanced women, 4 intermediate women and 6 recreational women. At IOS #3 we had 5 intermediate women and 3 recreation women. Those are good numbers for women attendance at Illinois tournaments. The way we are getting better attendance than last year is by advertising on our website that we will be bringing 3 to 5 amateur women to each event. Check out the remaining 2005 schedule at www.brasscash.com if you think you might be interested in joining them.

The 2005 McDonalds Southern National Pro Championship is coming up Labor Day weekend in northern Mississippi. The payout should very good for the pro women. Last year 1st place paid out $566 with 6 pro women playing. It will be even more this year with more added cash to the tournament than last years. You get to play a course set up on the back nine of a ball golf course and 3 wooded courses at wall doxey state park. It will be a great tournament with disc golf fun for all. Think about it if you are qualified...to find out if you are qualified go to the stats page at sndg.org, type in your name for last season, 2004-2005, there were 52 different pro women that played in the 89 qualifiers last year...you may be one of them.

There are 5 pro women already signed up, only 1 month to go!!

The last weekend in August - Des, Burl, Valarie, Lesli, Marielle, Jen Jensen, and Joy Williams need an 8th.

Pretty Tough just signed on as a sponsor, there is a $1000 Women's Skins (for the top four rated women) on Friday, and we have a dang lot of fun. This last women's spot will be reserved until August 26th, when it will open up to the general Pro waiting list.

There are four lower division women pre-registered for the Blast. Kelsey will probably play Men's Rec because it will have more CTPs than Women's Advanced.

At Widdershins all women play for free.

Look around at www.discontinuum.org/forums (http://www.discontinuum.org/forums) for details
