when it was really "removed"?

Providing a link that only says "thread locked" is lame. Just axe it.

Aug 30 2005, 10:26 AM
Probably because the thread is still here just not visible to the public...with that being said, if it is "removed" from public view then they should say it was removed.

Maybe they have fun knowing that some will go on a wild goose chase trying to find it :D

Are you trying to get Terry to remove this thread by starting an attack on Rhett? Are you really a PDGA secret agent provocateur?

Why remove the thread? It was the most entertaining thread going.

Gotta run I hear Terry "no fun" Calhoun marching down the board in his jack boots.

Quite obviously "fun" means different things to different folks.

Oh, yeah. Fun means different things. The most fun I've had all day so far was composing a message to connect up interesting people at the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). I know that few others would find that to be 'fun.'

Rhett, for what might as well be eternity we've said threads were 'deleted' when in fact they are moved to a password-protected area where monitors can still access them if needed.

When I moved that thread I thought it would be nice to leave behind a statement as to why.

Technically it is only moved; however the next time I will try to remember to say that the thread was "moved from user access" because of whatever.

Why move threads to a password-protected area where only monitors can view them? Are the threads ever coming back? Just delete them, or unlock them...Don't stash them away so only you, Nick and Conrad can laugh at them.

Aug 30 2005, 03:16 PM
Thats being greedy.

We wanna laugh to!

Who was ahead on the most annoying poll when you yanked the thread? How much was I ahead by?

I want the results!!!!!! :D

at least your poll still exists somewhere. the one i was running is completely gone.

i did not get any communication that the poll was politically unacceptable... in fact one of the PDGA's most esteemed member, Chuck Kennedy, made the first post on the thread!!!

it just plain vanished into the ether. i dont know if Terry or Nicki did it. like i said, i got zero communication about it. so i can only assume that it was some of the posts on the thread that got it removed rather than the poll content that i created and posted.

Yeah, Sandalman is right. Quidam is my AI profile. The software is decent as far as proper syntax, but the content is strange. I still can't control when or where it posts when its logged in though.

I thought it was dirty. I was tailing you in every thread. Its been awhile since I have seen unleash the machine. :D
