I just played my first PDGA Tourney and want to view the results.
Unfortunately, the powers to be at the Tournament evidently have not posted these results onPDGA Site. I see some Tourneys had their results posted Sunday night.
Whats the deal with some Directors taking longer than others to Post results ?? Should they be accountable to immediately get results Online ?? If they can't maybe they should reconsider their position as TD ??

Not sure since I am new........ And would like to hear some feedback.

Well, not all TD's utilize the electronic system. Just be patient, you'll get to see it soon. And anyone who volunteers to set up and run an event should be cut a little slack (you know, in appreciation of their efforts).

You will have to excuse my naivete but I thought a TD could profit from these events ?? Nothing big but maybe a little bit ??

Most go in the red out of their own pockets because they want their event to be the best it can be. Then they typically put in an insane number of unpaid hours preparing for it, too. Then a very tiring "event generation" weekend actually putting it on. Some are then very very tired and very very relieved that it is finally over and take a while (some quite a while) to finish the paperwork.

If the choice is to either not have a tourney to play, or not have the results posted quickly, which would you prefer?

I choose to have an event to play in and cut the TD some slack.

Yes, Sir. That's pretty much the way a lot of 'em go. I can tell Rhett has done this more than once!

That model holds true if a TD is adding cash to the pros with no real cash sponsorship other than the amateurs, or if a TD is adding more cash to the pros than he is getting in cash sponsorship.

We have been posting our results before the players get home from several of our tournaments. But then again we aren't trying to add cash to the pros without having real cash sponsorship, so we aren't whipped and broke at the end of the day. We're just whipped.

I agree, after a tournament, I am soooooooo wipped I just want to sleep. Then not only to I need to get the results done, but now I have TONS of work backed up at work from taking the time off to run my tournament.

That and I just put more money into the tournament that most people spend playing disc golf per year.

But then that is just me, I am an [I'm a potty-mouth!]

One suggestion is to have a volunteer that is computer savvy given the job of posting the unofficial results. They are usually less tired and with this as their main responsibility after the tournament, more able to get it done that evening.

Especially if you thank him in advance for getting the results online during the awards ceremony.

Thank you Gary, your help is always appreciated. (and the only reason the Carrollton Open scores are were posted last year)

Glad to do it, but that was a real suggestion to other TDs in other States.

Any TD in Texas can get scores posted through me if they ask before the event.
