Hi Ladies,
I am Cheryl Eldridge from Georgia. My PDGA # is 16067. I just built a new web site directed toward women disc golfers. Please help me promote it. If you will visit and join the message boards, it will help so much. It is brand new so be kind with your reviews please. The point is to draw more women into disc golf and help our divisions grow. My site is for women disc golfers nation wide. Right now it seems mostly for the southern u.s.a. If you will send me some tournament information, photos, announcements, anything.....I will post it. I plan to keep it updated bi-monthly and moderate it daily. Thank you very much.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Eldridge :D

Hey Jeannie,
Congratulations on your site. Let me know if you need help setting it up. What state are you in? Would you please join my message boards and visit www.womensdiscgolfassociation.com (http://www.womensdiscgolfassociation.com)? This new site is directed toward female discgolfers nationwide. It is not meant to take away from local clubs and organizations. It is meant to bring Female disc golfers together from all over the world, or atleast our nation, in harmony. Please pass this info along. Thank you for helping to promote 'Our' Association Site.
Sincerely,
Cheryl Eldridge

this is a nice website, but still new. I think it could be a great site for the ladies. Hey ladies, join it and help her promote it. If we can get more of us over there, I think it will be another great tool for women.

Cheryl,
I was very impressed! So much to look at and VERY informative!! Great job! I send out Newsletters to our club every week. I'll add the new site. We have about 5-6 ladies that play here in Huntsville consistantly! That's better than when I started! It was just me! :(
I meant to introduce myself at the Augusta Classic. Maybe our paths will cross again soon. Thanks for a great outlet for the Women!!

Hi. You must be Addie. I really wanted to meet you at A.C. as well, yet, everytime I thought of it, someone else was talking to me. I admire your disc golfing skills. Thank you so much for viewing the Women's Disc Golf Association site. I am pleased you like it. Please visit often and yes, please do add it to your newsletter. Anything you can think of to promote it would be great. My sole purpose for starting the Association is to bring in more female disc golfers and support the ones playing already. Membership into the Women's disc golf assocaition is automatically entered into-- when you join the message board there. Thanks.
I hope to meet you soon. We have some family in Alabama. I'll let you know if we plan to visit. Are you playing Secret Squirrel at Redan next month?? I will not be playing, but I will be there photographing with my digital camera.

When I was compiling the list, I was quite impressed with the numbers turned in in CA for Open and Adv Masters. FYI- I still need to post the best womens turnout, Plastic Pilots El Dorado was in a 3 way tie for 8th. Pretty impressive since USWDGC,TWC, Am and Pro worlds and 3 NT events were the only ones better.By the way, I'll be traveling to my first Ca tournament at La Mirada in a few weeks, I'm pretty excited.

Hi Michelle,
The WDGA has begun to charge a membership fee of $10. which covers 2 years. This fee will circulate back to the WDGA members. An immediate action will be an official WDGA member card and mini sent to you by mail. $2 credit on all tournament fees, and a contrubuting factor toward future WDGA events.

Hey Cheryl - I went onto your message board and inquired about where the monies from membership fees are going to, before I joined. Now I can't seem to access the board. I did post as a guest, but only because I was too lazy to sign up. I was serious about possibly joining if I know that the fees are somehow going towards helping women, and not just for a message board. I didn't read this thread on the PDGA board before I asked and I now see that there is mention of WDGA events. I wanted to go back on and now look into that. Can you advise? Thanks Tammy. You are absolutely right. The WDGA is all about females in disc golf. All ages, all divisions. I started the WDGA in September 2005 for the direct purpose of linking all disc golfing females together. One location, United! I am very proud of the WDGA members. They all pull together to help each other in many ways. Thank you WDGA members.
Since the $10 fee was initiated, new membership has dropped to almost 0. I don't know why. It is a minimal fee. Up until now, I have soley financed every aspect of the WDGA. The website host (which is called freewebs but I am a premium member and pay for our bandwidge), the domain name, the 100 welcome packs which will go out as soon as Innova gets the custom minis done. My team is in the process of manufacturing 102 laminated and personalized member cards
and I have purchased 1000 customized contact cards. I am happy to do this. This was my total intention. It is just, my purce is getting alittle shy now. If we can pull together and pay the $10 fee it will make it possible for me to carry out new and fun ideas. None of it goes toward the message board. None will go toward the website or domain fees either. It will accumulate for WDGA events only. The $2 credit mentioned will be on WDGA tournaments only. I can promise a personalized member card- but I can't promise a personalized mini. The minis were customize for the first 100 members. I have to order them by the 100. I can place another order once we hit our 200 mark. So lets get crackin!! :D

Cheryl Eldridge,

Hi Michelle,
If you go to the WDGA website, www.womensdiscgolfassociation.com (http://www.womensdiscgolfassociation.com)
You will find a pdf file of the flyer. Click on
the link at the top of page, then click on the pic
of the flyer. You can print out the pdf.
Please make copies and pass it around
in Cali for me.
Thanks,
Hope you will make it to
the tournament.
Cheryl~ :)

'1st Annual WDGA Championships' Host Hotel
I researched several hotels in the
general area of Redan Disc Golf Park
and this one is the best for quality and price.
The online feedback from previous guests
suggest a clean and comfortable stay.
It is around 15 minutes to Redan from this
hotel. We will have a special "WDGA"
rate per night. Rooms are regularly
$90-$120 per night. If you reserve
early, under the "WDGA" code, the
price is $75 per night (plus tax)
for October 27th, 28th, 29th, 2006.
I stress, "Reserve before October 10th"
to receive this rate. I hope to see you
all there. :D
