In just a few short weeks, Augusta Disc Golf Association members have pledged $2700 in member contributions towards our goal of becoming a Gold level sponsor of the PDGA National Disc Golf Center. We expect to have well over $3000 raised in the next couple of weeks. The balance of our $5000 sponsorship contribution will be raised in a future charity tournament to be held at the new Hippodrome Course in North Augusta on a date to be determined.
The local community is very dedicated to the success of this project. Columbia County has made a $370,000 investment into the construction of our future headquarters building and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has performed at least $100,000 in environmental studies and tree removal. The value of the lakefront property that we have been given to use is very conservatively estimated at nearly a half of a million dollars. I cannot stress enough how important it is that we, the members of the PDGA, step up and make this once in a lifetime opportunity, all that it has the potentioal to be. This is OUR National Disc Golf Center.
For details on how you, your club or your business can make a tax deductible contribution to help the PDGA create a home for our organization and the first world class training and competition facility for our sport, see the NDGC Endowment Fund brochure.
