I renewed on line the 3rd week of November. I received my package this week. That's about 7 weeks, but over the holidays.

I don't think anyone gets their renewal packets until close to the first of the year because the materials aren't done being printed until then even if you renew at Thanksgiving.

Question:

I renewed last week. I know it will be about 6 weeks before I get my card. I will be playing in a PDGA tourny before I get my card. Will the TD know that I have renewed? I am assuming they will because hopefully the PDGA changes the status of a player as soon as they receive word that the player renewed.

The list for the TDs goes out on Thursday.
I think memberships are done on Wednesday.

Hearsay of course since I don't work in the office.

I sent in my check right after the Turkey was finished and just received my packet. The new directory is very impressive.
Also, thanks PDGA for the Legacy bagtag etc. Very cool.

From www.pdgastore.com (http://www.pdgastore.com) membership section:

Memberships are processed in weekly batches...if your membership is received before the close of business on MON, you will be listed as current on FRI (at www.pdga.com (http://www.pdga.com) - click on the memberships link). Memberships received after the close of business MON will be processed with the following weeks batch.

Please allow 3-5 weeks (varies with seasonal rushes) to receive your membership items in the mail.

Hope that clears things up.

So Buzzzed sent his membership in on December 22, the Thursday before Christmas. Buzzzed is in Texas, so let's say that the envelope arrived at the distribution center in Georgia the following week.

By the above description, the membership would be processed, then by Friday, January 6.

Buzzzed got his package on January 20, two days less than one one month to the day of sending his renewal in.

That's well within what is promised, even in the holiday season and in the midst of a huge groundswell of renewals.

Actually I placed my order on December 22nd with a credit card ;)

1. If it's a big deal call the PDGA or e-mail & ask if you are current.
706-261-6342
2. If you've been a PDGA member in previous years you should know to send them in as early as possible.
3. If you don't like how long it takes volunteer to help and process renewals or run for a position and try to make some changes.
