I don't get the joke.
We have 90 players pre-registered now. You can pre-register at http://store.discontinuum.org/ .

This post is a "non-Brakel" endorsement for this tourney. I'm not saying that a Schwinn-endorsement means anything, but any woman thinking about playing this tourney would probably like an opinion from someone other than the TDs. ;)
The IOS tourneys always have a fair # of women playing. Plus, there's a division for every woman from rec to pro. The entry fees are low, and if you really want to save money, you can always choose the trophy only option. You will get your money's worth and not walk away wondering where the $$ went. Another great feature is that the tourneys always run on time. This means you will get home at a decent hour! Make sure to pre-reg, because the IOS tourneys will fill!

I'd rather have a Schwinn-endorsement than a Huffy-endorsement any day.
We now have 15 women pre-registered counting two-day players twice. We have a lot of intermediate and advanced women signing up to play trophy-only against Barrett. If we get more than can play together in the first round, we'll put the lowest rated with Barrett in the first round so everyone can have a fair chance at getting their $10 lesson!
We have at least three advanced women playing Men's Rec on Sunday. I might have to make a special "Beat by the Girls" t-shirt for some lucky guy. :D

I got the joke. It had to do with Kenosha being the headquarters for American Motors, and us old guys having mixed memories of AMC products. Anyone else out there feel lucky that they survived riding with a friend who had a Javelin and thought he was Mark Donahue?
Part of why I tried to work the guys who run the Prairie Open to change it to the 'Kenosha Rambler'. ;)

IOS #1 was really fun!! (even though I discovered during the round that my eagle was too beat up to handle a head-wind )
Congrats to Kelsey for playing so well on both days!! She was a machine! The wind didn't phase her at all. I'll be heading to IOS #2, and I'll have a new set of stable discs in my bag. I will get that girl yet!! ;)

Thank you for coming! You still beat an awful lot of men for throwing a beat up disc :).
If my count is accurate there were 16 women that played IOS #1.
