Hey I am going to be visiting Houston in a week or so, and I was wondering if you all did weekday mini's? If so let me know when and where and I will try playing some disc golf texas style.

Hey Teague - the only regular minis we run are at Tom Bass on Saturday mornings at 9am. See Lyle Ross for sign up at the course. Usually have about 12-18 players out there and Lyle alternates between Powell and Wilmont. Cost is a cheap $10.

Try out the Thursday or Sunday evening mini at Jack Brooks Park. Someone is always available to play for some money.

Laryy tell him the league nights. I'm sure he can find some action thre but I don't know the correct nights.

So are there nights that are league nights that are not open to PDGA members but only to Houston Club members?

Is that organized or is it just show up and try and get some random person to play me for cash?

HFDS has 4 weeknight leagues;
Mon. - Mozola
Wed. - McGregor
Thu. - T.C. Jester
Thu. - Agnes Moffitt
These start around 5:30 or 6:00. The leagues are a six week thing where your 4 best nights count. Everyone is welcome to join the leagues but it doesn't make much sense to pay to join if you're only going to be here once.
You can still come out and play anyway and there shouldn't be any problem finding a foursome to join.

There is also a Sat. Mini at Tom Bass. (10am I think).

There are always people here in Houston that are willing to meet up with out-of-towners wanting to play the local courses.

Check out www.hfds.org (http://www.hfds.org) for more info and making some contacts.

We try to tee at 9 sharp or earlier. Players generally arrive between 8 and 8:30 to warm up. Later starts make the MO (Mini Organizer) cranky! :D

Also starting on time allows us to get in a second round before the blistering Houston sun melts the plastic
