I have spoken to a lot of golfers from San Diego who are concerned about the sanctioning of this event. I spoke with Bamba Rico today while I was at Sylmar and he reassured me that the sanctioning has been dealt with and it is in fact a B tier event. Must be the PDGA that hasn't caught up with the paperwork or something, but no need to worry, they sent all their paperwork to the PDGA already.

Also, the upper temp course is fantastic! It has an Emerald Isle / La Mirada feel about it! Some good long holes that are not realistically dueceable!

Yes that temp course is awsome. Too bad this tourney is the same weekend as the Tahoe Open. :( Summertime Open might be the only SoCal event I miss this year.

Can you say HOT!!!!!!!This was a warm one, even with water .Steve won with Kyle in 2nd Steve Wisecup dropped out because of a shoulder injury.I played 3 bad rounds and thought I was out of the money then pulled head out of my collen .. :o. I ended up shooting the 2nd hottest round in the masters division on the upper course with a -3 and missed 5 putts inside the circle for birds.My highlight was my ace on hole 11 it plays 355 anhyzer .There was a group of kids and family to the left, pin high , I made a comment, I hope I dont hit those kids, cuz this is comming with some heat.The hole plays about 380 because of the turnover you have to do as a rightie.I was a perfect toss ,and slammed into the chains, hard. :D We did not know if it stuck ,as we walked up, we did not see the disc, it was innova yellow leopard ,laying on its side, I did not see it, till looked in the basket.That helped with the great score.I was getting some bucks for the ace, and did not see my name on the scoreboard.When I asked, they said if your name is not on the board you have a check comming.NO way I got last place cash.What a great way to end ;)....Thank to the staff ,BAMBA and all of the Ricos, for thier years of work in our sport.Gary S and Tim S pulled thier weight to make sure things went smooth.Back to Riverside to finish my new course per 71 12,671 ft Riverside golf club.Weekleys will start this week on thursday fron 5:00 to 6:00 flex start.We will play the front 10 holes and the next week we will flip it.I look forward to seeing all the new players out there....Game On.......
