Alright gentlemen (and ladies)....it's that time of year again. Teams is upon us and things seem to be a little different this year. I know Waterloo is trying to field enough for a third team, but I'm wondering who is heading that up? Also, since Suda is moving to Michigan, team Pease has no captain. I would be happy to volunteer and take his place since I basically live at Pease Park anyway. Any feedback would be appreciated...

Does this mean you don't want to be the captain anymore?

Well, I know Todd was asking several people about a third team. Since I play Pease every day, plus the fact that Suda is moving, I'm leaning towards playing team pease. Again, this is all preliminary...we're just trying to get poeple aware and interested in playing. It would be nice if someone could post the Waterloo rosters from last year to see who is already on a team. Moody gave me the list for Pease from last year:

Open: Steve H.
Open: Mike S. (no longer here)
Open Master: Dion
Adv: Chris R. (haven't seem him in months)
Adv: Brandon S (finished 9th at Am worlds, can you open 2!)
Int: Gill (he has to play advanced due to rating)
Int: Jarrod (I think he can still play Int)
Swing: Dale H.
Am Women: I can't remember her name but she lives in Marble Falls (from what I've been told)...not really a Pease local.

Anyway, if you can provide a list for Waterloo 1 & 2, it would give me a better idea of who is already in.

Todd's a swinger? :p

I hope we play y'all, cause I don't think I have ever beat Dion in anything. It's like the Red Raiders playing the Longhorns. ;)

Bummer, Bummer!

After all my smack talk (and admittedly, I don't do it much, but I've sure enjoyed it this time ), I won't be able to play this weekend.

Mom went into the hospital suddenly last week and ended up having heart bypass surgery yesterday. She is still in ICU and is going to be spending a good while in recovery. Luckily, the surgery went well and she is recovering as well as can be expected at this point, but I'm going to be spending a lot of time at the hospital with my brothers looking after her.

Big apologies to my teammates, but family has to come first, and moms have to come firstest most of all.

Waterloo is just going to have to go out and win one for the Gordo

Good luck to everyone, and remember to keep that smack flowing!

p.s. Darn... maybe next year I'll earn a donkey shutty thingy from vinnie. All I could ever get this year was a just wait and c from cware. :D
