A change to the PDGA by-laws has been suggested to the board-of-directors.
Currently, the position of Commissioner/President is the only position on the board that is elected separately from our other directors. It was suggested that having the PDGA Commissioner/President elected separately meant that if two or more qualified people ran for the position, only one would be able to serve on the board. After considering this proposal, the board believes that it would be best for the PDGA if none of those qualified people were excluded from serving on the board.
Therefore, the board intends to vote on this proposed change in the by-laws in its next board meeting, currently scheduled for March 7, 2007. The text of the proposed change is below. The PDGAs attorney has approved these proposed changes. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of the board-of-directors.
