I voted too.
Arguing that there is no impact is simply wrong though.
I would like to see the concerns for the trees, other plants, and soil addressed. There is impact, but it can be mitigated. Admit the impact and work towards mitigation. Trying to argue there is no impact does not serve to forward the cause. If the supporters of DG are reasonable in this way, they are more likely to make allies instead of enemies.

The disc golf community was responsible for the city eventually hiring a professional disc golf course design consultant, a professional dosc golfer, Mike Belchic of Northern California. Three plans were developed, and voted on and one selected to use as the primary focus within the EIR. The draft EIR has been released, and the plan mitigates 90% of the impact and makes the park accessible to those who would otherwise not be able to access that area. The course and now even the EIR are being oppossed by the Friends of Bidwell park because what they really wanted even though they asked for mitigation, is removal of the course! So, if you are seeing anyone argue that there is no impact, they may be out of the loop, or misinformed. The people who are attending committee meetings and council meetings, etc.. are following the proper channels and support mitigation and preservation.

Sounds like they are not being forthright in furthering their agenda. Shame on them.
I sincerely hope they are not successful in what appears to be a subversive attempt to have the course removed.
If anyone reading this has not yet placed a vote, please do.
