That guy's throwing motion is horrible --- what's with the upward arm motion? He should have more of a flat, across the plane motion.
And why is he throwing that disc at a bird feeder? And where is his marker? Or if that's a tee pad, where's the tee marker?
gotcha

That's not a bird feeder. It's one of those more challenging targets proposed by Mr. Kennedy! :D

And I thought I had rights to that design... :D

Not that design. If I remember correctly, you suggested removing only the basket's outer set of chains to increase difficulty. It looks like this guy decided to remove not only the outer set of links, but the chain support as well! :) Maybe they'll name it the Mach 0...

Jul 09 2007, 02:58 PM
That would still be PDGA legal under the current guidelines as long as the basket was the right size.

That's an up shot and no matter what his style is, he's about to drain it! Maybe we should rethink how we throw... :D

I'm sure we all have had that idea at some time or another.....Just so darn hard to find a good disc retrieval machine that wont thrash the discs :D
Oh wait.....there are soccer fields and a well trained dog for retrieval :D

That's funny. It's funny because the idea of a disc golf driving range to the general public is a joke. To me, it's nothing out of the ordinary.

there's an email address in there... looks like cleatsmail at aol.com. Just sent an email thanking him for putting disc golf in the comics and a link to this thread. Hopefully this continues - I love it!

nope...first run star coyote...it's even red!
whittlers are not as flat nosed as that disc is,they are more like a plastic dog dish

Sent him a link to this thread of the discussion board. I'd think he'd be savvy enough to figure out how to get to the main *bored* from here.

That's cold. Essentially, what you're saying is the Snoopy has been eating out of a Whittler for years.
BTW - the range is up in today's strip.

I also sent an e-mail to the cleats address.
Lyle,
Hah! I'm thrilled to hear it!
I hope you'll keep reading Cleats.
Thanks for the email.

Subject: disc golf
I'm sure you've already been informed, but the disc golf world is reading your disc golf series with great glee. There have been discussions about disc types used, throwing styles used and the type of target depicted in the strip. Thank you for the attention and the laughs!
