The past two seasons we have set aside $250 to buy tee signs, sponsorships, and club memberships in other area clubs and local courses. To us, a $25-50 tee sign with out contact info on it and some pictures of the course is a great way to drum up interest in our club and course.
Do any other clubs do the same? What do you think about exhanging money back and forth between clubs for advertising? It's almost like a wash, and we may be better off just advertising for each other for free. But from what I see, it looks like a lot of local players simply fork out some cash to get their name on a sign, moreso at times than local area businesses as sponsors.

So, before I now enter my own plug (plea), remember that our club also sets money aside for this same type of thing...
Winter Park Disc Golf Club is selling Gold Tee Sponsorships and Alternate Pin Sponsorships - 36 available signs in all - $40 each to cover sleeve, hardware, post, sign, etc.
That'll make 3 sets of tees, 2 pin placements, for 108 possible holes. The alternate pins will even make the short tees hard! The Gold tee to Alt Pin setup will map out at 7800'.
This layout will also allow us to keep baskets on the course all winter long and also throw in 4 WINTER ONLY holes for play.
This is a very neat course, set on some awesome terrain with spectacular views, all in a clean and quiet small town location. Take a look at the tee pix...

I'm trying to propose this from my club (Skylands Flying Disc Club.) I think it would be a win/win situation if we (Skylands) were able to support neighboring clubs' tournaments or pin sponsors, etc.
As you said, it's basically one hand washing the other, but it helps provide exposure to each other's club, which of course is a good thing..
