Okay peeps. The draft will take place at my house on Friday August 24th at 730pm. You will need to bring $30 with you. $20 of it is your league fee and the other $10 will cover the keg.

I recommend bringing your own fantasy information cuz you will need it...it's going to be a war room atmosphere :D

Draft order will be determined by a traditional draw. First name out of the hat gets first pick and last name out of the hat gets last pick and the first pick of the next round and so on. I believe this is called the snake method. We can discuss what everyone thinks would work best.

Melissa Stacye is getting married on the 25th so she will not be able to attend the draft. Tom Townsend has taken her place. Apparently Tom has better drinking skills than Thong Le and Big Dave combined.

Well if Big Dave does a keg stand you might want to put the keg outside. Last time I saw him do one indoors he left footprints on Naegele's ceiling. We also might need to bring in a few other reliable people to help lift him up so he doesn't get dropped and face planted this time. :D

We have a decison to make regarding the number of teams involved in Flippy Forehand...we have a couple local guys who want in.

I don't like competing in a league with more than 10 teams and right now we are at 12. I can live with 12. Do you guys think 14 teams is too much? I personally do but I wanted to get other managers opinion. With 14 there won't be too many RB's and WR's available on the waiver wire. All it really does is make the draft more important. I think there should be a good number of backup free agent RB's and WR's. If one of your #1 RB goes down you could very well be screwed. Know what I mean?

Let me know what you guys think. If everybody else is cool with 14 teams I am too, I just didn't want to make an executive decision without running it by the other managers.

I was trying to hook you up by approving the trade before indys game. If I really wanted to sabatoge your team I could have started Addai on Thursday night. Then on Friday morning I could have approved the addai/gore trade and started Gore on Monday. That way i'm starting addai and gore during week one :D still would not have mattered though because KC scored too many **** points.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Adrian Peterson is padding his bank account with every yard he gains.


The Minnesota Vikings' rookie earned a one-time, $2.45 million bonus when he passed 701 yards this season. And he can add significantly to his bank account in upcoming seasons if he keeps going. Peterson ran for an NFL record 296 yards last week against San Diego.

Peterson's contract and incentives were broken down by the St. Paul Pioneer Press on Tuesday. Among the nuggets:

� He can add $2.5 million to his 2010 salary (set to start at $2.695 million) if he rushes for more than 1,000 yards in two of his first three seasons.

� If he rushed for 1,300 yards once, he puts another $1 million onto his 2011 salary, set to begin at $3.94 million. If he passes 1,300 yards twice, he adds $3 million to that number.

� Should Peterson rush for 2,000 yards or 20 touchdowns, he adds $1 million each time he does it to the 2011 base salary.

� He's also eligible for a $250,000 bonus if he's the rookie of the year, the most valuable player in the league or the Super Bowl MVP.

Add it up, and Peterson could earn $40.5 million through the life of his current five-year deal. He's guaranteed $17 million.

Peterson has rushed for 1,036 yards and nine touchdowns (eight rushing, one receiving) in eight games thus far this season.
