PDGA Director Brian Graham just two behind World Champ Nate Doss!
Thanks for putting the jinx on me Chuck
I followed up yesterdays round with my worst ever tournament round today.................................EVER! :o
Climo tosses in a 240 foot eagle 2 on the par 4 sixteenth hole. Manabu from Japan has the hot round today with a 51 (-10). The lead group for tomorrow consists of 12 time world champ, Ken Climo, the European Open defending champ, Dave Feldberg, Finlands top player, Timo Pursio, and Japan's top player, Manabu Kajiyama.
Event Director, Jussi Meresma, ran a hugely successful disc golf clinic at the event today and ran 560 high school students through the practice course. I helped a new player from Russia with his putting yesterday. We couldn't understand a word the other was saying but the international language of disc golf kicked in and the guy started slamming putts.
The International Summit meeting last night was very successful with country coordinators from all over Europe meeting to discuss disc golf. PDGA Europe is growing by leaps and bounds. So far in 2007, there has been a 56.5% increase in PDGA members and a 35% increase in PDGA events in Europe. It is happening over here! Tonight we meet with Jussi Meresma and Visa Ruhinnen to discuss the U.S. hosting the Presidents Cup matches in the States in 2008.
Regards,
Brian Graham

Wasn't trying to jinx you Brian. It was the siren call of the ratings that brought scores back toward normalcy... :)
Great to hear about the progress in Europe. I hope to get over there someday and show them how to do a basket in a triple tree...

What was the difference in the propagators scores versus the whole field? I suspect the props may have shot a little better if the rating is one point lower (looking at Birgitta).

I want to see some footage of Brigitta and Burl battling. Averaging 1000 must be amazing golf for both of them.

where's the live scoring? Major??
Marshall Street had 6 cards of live action.... All it takes is one guy with a computer and a bunch of scorekeepers with radios...
I say that like it's easy to do what Steve and Jason and staff did, but it probably isn't.... Still, we should be able to that at our Majors if it can be done without support from the PDGA.

where's the live scoring?
Matt,
While live scoring would certainly be nice a nice touch, TD Jussi Meresma chose to better use the resources of his tournament staff by running clinics on-site to teach disc golf to school kids and their teachers. As of today, they had given personal instruction to well over 800 school kids of all ages during the event.

European Open TD, Jussi Meresma, gives a clinic to Finnish high school students
These clinics will certainly have a far greater impact on the growth of disc golf in Finland and the rest of Europe than live scoring would. Also with the lead group teeing off just after noon here, golfers in the U.S. would have to wake up and be sitting in front of their computers at 5:00am EST, 4:00am CST, 3:00am MST, or 2:00am PST to catch the live scoring.
Jussi Meresma and DiscMania are doing an outstanding job on the event and in promoting disc golf in Europe. Finnish national television was at the event and will be broadcasting a 30 minute show on the tournament nationwide.
For the hardcore disc golf information junkies who need instant gratification, scores are being posted on the Europen Open website (http://www.opendiscgolf.com/?page=home) as they are being turned in, complete with hole by hole scores if you click on a players name. Daily scores (http://pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=6279) are also available at PDGA.com. There are PHOTO GALLERIES (http://www.flickr.com/photos/
[email protected]/collections/72157601613570702/) and Disc Golf TV (http://discgolftv.com/) is here with video coverage of the event already on their website. The EO site is also quite nice with in depth coverage posted each day.

KLLSTRM shoot the only round in the 40s the whole week a 49 the final round moved him from like 8th to 4th. Take a look at his score card **** near perfect golf. This years course played allot tighter more OB's and the wind was kicking really bad the final day had to be like 15-25 mph winds. So for KLLSTRM to shoot a 49 is more impressive then it looks.
