Nice pix Chris. Cool shot of Climo.
Your picture of mini deer are really Pronghorn Antelope. Caribou are lots bigger and resemble the rest of the deer family. Pretty tasty too.

Thanks. Not sure where I pulled Caribou from. They are no where close to those things. But I def. had about every type of deer meat you could have while in Wyoming.

I have added some more USDGC pictures on my flickr account. I personally like the one of Brinster floating. There is also a picture of a player whom I am not familiar with so if you know his name please tell. Look for pictures of final group sometime tomorrow. I will post complete gallery of every photo unedited once I get done putting the decent action shots on flickr.

Then you would appreciate this joke. If you heard it before, don't stop me. I find it hilarious and want to hear again myself.
Six guys are out hunting in Alaska. They agree to draw straws to see who the camp cook will be for the trip. The main requirement is that the first one to complain will assume all responsibilities as cook.
The first three days of the hunting trip go by and not one bad word is uttered. No matter how runny the eggs are, how badly scorched the beans, or how weak or strong the coffee is,--not one complaint.
On the fourth morning the man elected as the cook is desperate for relief of the chore finds a huge pile of fresh moose droppings (sh*t to you uneducated people) while out hunting. An idea hits him and he figures he'll soon be free to hunt as much as he wants.
That night while fixing dinner he drops several large handfuls of moose turds into the stew pot. All around the campfire his hunting partners are making terrible faces, but not one complaint is heard. Finally one hunter says " This stew tastes like moose sh*t, but it's the best **** moose sh*t stew I ever ate!"

the unknown DGer from hole 4 should be Randolph (on the lead card on the final day)
awesome photos... you must have a great eye, timing and camera!

Some1 from other thread said it was Timo Pursio from Finland. I know it isn't Randolph because where that picture is the 2nd group had not even started yet. I would say he was on the maybe 3rd or 4th card.

999s are people that were cut.

It means that as well. I believe it is just used as a filler number and depending on the tournament could be used for not making cut, not finishing, or both.

well it wont be like that in the end...
i think it is just a temporary thing b/c the file sorts based on how many over par a player is.
So if someone made the cut at +25 and the cut line was +30, and that golfer shot +10, he would be at +35 and appear lower in the field than the golfer who was cut.

All rounds that are shot before a 999 are rated but I don't believe players get points if they have a 999. That doesn't matter at USDGC which is a major with no points awarded anyway. However, it looks like we'll need to consider that next year since points will be earned at every event.

But like on "Whose Line is it Anyway?", the points don't matter.

Never seen the champ putt with something other than white. Anyone know what kind of aviar that is?

:-), I was hoping Ken would some day come across the picture and wonder the same thing. I changed the color of the disc because photographically it didn't look right to me. I think the clash between the white hat, the white shorts, and the white disc was a little overpowering so I just made it orange.
I actually did the same thing last year with a picture of Chris Sprague. But I changed his because I made the background black and white and left him in color but his disc was white and it looked like I had forgotten to leave the color on it.

Strangely I changed the disc to orange there as well. Apparently it appeals to me.
