WHEN SHOULD WE START SELLING 2008 BAG TAGS?
DECEMBER 2007?
JANUARY 2008?

THIS YEARS TAGS WILL BE 1/8" ACRYLIC. THEY LOOK SIMILAR TO THE TAGS WON BY THE FINAL FOUR PLAYERS OF THIS YEARS BAG TAG EVENT. I HAVEN'T SET A PRICE FOR THE 2008 TAGS, BUT WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT AROUND 15.00.
PLEASE GIVE ME FEED BACK SO THAT I CAN DECIDE ON WHEN TO START SELLING THEM, AND IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUESTIONS, CONCERNS OR INTREST LET ME KNOW.

I think you should start selling them now and have no bys if there are enough people then every one should play first round 15 each sounds good

I agree with Jerry...Start selling them now+no byes.

Since the beginning of the bag tag tournament there have been byes given to tags 1-4. Personally I don't think it should change.

The only reason there were byes was due to there not being 64 players present. Had there been all 64 there, no one would have had a bye.

One thing I do like though is freezing the tags 1 week out. It lets you set up the brackets easier.

I think the first round buy is a great reward/incentive to fight for the top tags...

Yes but it also slows the process of getting the brackets set-up. Wise is right, if we freeze the tags a week before the tournament we should have a better idea of how many players will show up.

Actually, I was meaning no byes...not no buy-ins. I thought I was fairly clear with my spelling /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif.

I think freezing the tags is a good idea as well. It will assist greatly in setting up the bracket.

Now, regarding the buy-ins...People need to get on-board and buy the tags earlier than the day of. I would like to see some sort-of cut off date for buying a tag. This would also assist in setting up the brackets because you get an idea of how many people are playing.
The late buy-ins and tag # changes cause unnecessary stress on the td's. Not to mention the late start for everyone else :mad:

I PLAYED A ROUND EARLIER FRIDAY AT BLACK HAWK WITH WISE...AND TOLD HIM THAT I WAS GOING TO PLAY ANOTHER ROUND....WENT TO MCCLURE AND PLAYED WITH CODA, WILKES AND A FEW OTHERS....TOOK THEIR MONEY AND THE #1 TAG....DID NOT CALL A FREEZE ON TAGS....WE WILL SEE ABOUT A FREEZE ON TAGS THIS YEAR....MAYBE WHEN I BEAT CODA AGAIN....WHEN EVER THAT MAY BE....

To help out the club and increase the winnings for the winners. I'd like to buy a tag, but I don't play as much."Due to some back problems". Plus my work keeps me busy during the week.
