The TDSA would like to rally the troops once again in an effort to install a new course in Bristow, OK. This will be the first course to be planted under the "True Growth Program"!

December 8th - please clear your schedules and make it over to Bristow Lake for a work day and play. The city will already have the 9 holes for the baskets dug. We will simply have to set the baskets and tee boxes.

There is a minimal amount of clearing that needs to be done but anyone that can bring a weedeater or push mower should.

I will come up with a central meeting place in Tulsa for us to carpool for those who want to.

Please come out and help put this course in the ground and also be one of the first to play a new course - Oh yeah and someone has to be the first person to ace at a course.

A huge shout out needs to go to John and Karla Barton for making this course possible with their connections with the city and a big pat on the back to Cris Hicks and Wayne Forest for their direct help in making this course happen. The TDSA should also be very proud of itself for making this available via the "True Growth Program" - kudos to all.

... a-n-d ... anyone (or your friends) who has use of a Pickup Truck (plain ol' open-bed) , please shout out to Brad HOI ( 694-7280 ) ... we need to carry only 9 Baskets over there ... a coupla more Pickups would mean that Brad won't have to try to use his trailer ... thanks in advance ...

... a li'l more about this "work-day gig" : JoeRo (aka mister-twisted) is working further angles for some "publicity" and "promo" on this Course Opening ... it is , after all , the first of the "True-Growth" type situations ... Gary Nail and Rob Davis note this > photos and pictures will be absolutely wanted ... from before -to- after -to- ribbon-cutting -to- playing -to- etc. ... John and Karla and Jose and JoeRo and Cris might talk some local "officials" into "handshake and smile" type pictures ... ay ? ...

another thought on these Baskets theyre not shiny brand-new , but theyre good ol galvanized solid Baskets Im carrying extra Basket-plate numbers to apply and seal over , some top-mouldings also once these puppies are in the ground and tamped-in , there might be need for a little-light-tightening
.
possible good-things-to-have-out-there (if some of the crew has and can bring) >

portable drill n bits

some extra bolts, nuts, metal-screws

maybe even some coated-wire (if any lower-basket is hair-lipped)

.
.
.
just a little extra tightening up makes em all-the-more-solid be a True Hero ... help spruce-up a True Growth Basket

I agree with Jerry. This course is great.

Hole #2 is my favorite. For a righty it is an anhyzer down hill.

Great job to everyone involved in the layout and installation

The plans are in the works to make a big publicity push with Innova, TDSA and City of Bristow! Look for something big in the upcoming weeks after the holidays.

It is good to hear the good reviews so far. The kids basketball schedule has prevented me from getting a chance to throw any of the holes as of yet but I am looking forward to getting a chance soon.

 as of Saturday noon ,
BRISTOW HAS A DISC GOLF COURSE COOL
.
.
NICE Baskets were made even NICER after additional welding , straightening , adding-more-concrete they were set in , tamped-in tight , and ready-to-play Basket-numbers and mouldings were added and sealed that whole Park area is REALLY NICE for the layout each Hole features three separate tee-areas , marked with Red , White , or Blue landscape-timbers some very-intriquing looks and unique variety for all Skill-Levels
.
.
the following individuals were out there Saturday either early-enough to assist installation ; or later to play a Round
