Plans are in the works for Live Oak Ice Bowl just recieved this pm from Yeti & Des:
Re: Live Oak Ice Bowl
From: Yeti
Hey Chinger,
That is the plan and we are starting to work on some of the details. First, we must cruise to the Bahamas and play some disc golf on the islands as host the 2nd annual disc golf cruise.
Some one has to do it!
with people like Yeti and Des helping we should be donating back to the community and putting food on their tables. Please start saving some can food and please look for raffle prize for this event.
Stay tune for farther information.
Thanks one and all /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif :D

At one of the minis I remember hearing Larry V talking about running a 3rd Ice Bowl at UC. Is that still in the works?
The disc golf community sure will be bringing in lots of food this year! Maybe we can get some Ice too :o

G'day my Texan friends. Just dropped in to wish everyone a fun Ice Bowl. While you guys are shivering and keeping warm I will be thinking of you while in beautiful Summer sunshine.
G'day to my big buddy Yeti, and my fellow squirrel Des. Miss you guys and the good times in San Marcos.
To everyone else hope I keep an eye out from time to time on the happenings in Live Oak and SA.
Things are good here although I haven't pick up a disc in forever. Working hard, playing lots of golf and enjoying life. Only yesterday I bought a block of land and am in the process of designing a house to build on it. Should start construction in about 3 months and in by Christmas. I will finally have some room to hang my disc collection.
Have fun everyone.
Yours in Flight,
Chris

Thanks for all of the inquiries, the weather looks to be superb!
We will be at the course tomorrow afternoon for early sign-ups since many have asked. We will either be at Hole #28 or at the Pool House depending on access and weather.
The way the Nassau format works is that we'll put a cash (Pro) or merch (Am and Ladies) amount assigned to each card in the second round. The better you do the first round, the more you have to play for. Let's say your card has $40 to play for. The lowest score for the first six holes wins $10, lowest score for the next six holes wins $10, third six wins $10 and $10 for the overall lowest score on the card.
This year we have prizes for the overall lowest scores in each division as well
You don't want to miss out on the Prize Pinata

Look out, it might not be too long before I am back out on the course. Haven't thrown a disc since about last August because of my shoulder, but I went out today and did some putting. The shoulder doesn't feel too bad. I'll know more tomorrow. Sure have missed being out there. Good luck to everyone tomorrow. I will be at the coast recovering and resting my shoulder. Oh by the way, I can still putt. The arm felt a little weak though. See you on the course.

LODGA,
On behalf of the San Antonio Disc Club, I would like to thank you for sponsoring the SADC Charity Ice Bowl. The event was held on Saturday February 9, 2008 at Bryan McClain Park in San Antonio, Texas. A total of 94 players competed in this event you made possible. Together we were able to raise $2183.90 for the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind. We also raised 302 pounds of food along with $100.00 for the San Antonio Food Bank.
Without generous people like you, we would not be able to run quality events like the Ice Bowl. We hope that you continue to support our future events. You are the BEST!!!
Thank you,
Orlando Pereida
