Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!

I announced this at the Sunday mini, wanted to get it here also. We are also in the process of getting some flyers out to the parks.

<font color="blue"> The LODGA club meeting will be Saturday, January 5th, at 6pm in the Youth building behind the pool house at Live Oak. (This was the headquarters of the 2007 Live Oak Summer Open.)

This will be an open and honest meeting. We will go through the assets as well as some of the needs the club has right now.

You will receive a draft of the proposed charter. We will go though it point by point so that everything is clear.

There will be discussion time. We'll have food.

So please come out, and have your say in how your club should be set up.

If you can please respond here or send me a PM if you are planning to attend the meeting
so that we can get a head count for food, that would be helpful.

Here's a preview of what you will be voting on:

The club will elect a 3 person executive committee. They will have supervision, control, and direction of the affairs of the association, and will execute decisions of the membership. They have discretion in the disbursement of funds. They are in charge of minis, league events, and coordination with PDGA events. They may appoint other committees or individuals to assist them.

An addition to the Executive Committee there are Officers:

President
Vice President
Treasurer
Secretary

Their job duties are spelled out in the charter. These 4 Officers plus the 3 on the Executive Committee make up the Board of Directors.

The membership elects all 7 to represent them. The board conducts the business of the membership. The Board has the ability to put items to a vote of the membership. These votes can be binding, or non binding, to gauge opinion on a certain subject.

Treasurer must prepare reports quarterly and these will be made available to members. Checks require two signatures, and expenditures above and beyond normal operating expenses must be approved by the Board.

All this will be laid out in complete detail. This is just a summary.

We will accept nominations for all 7 positions on Saturday. If you would like to step up, now's your chance.

Keep those emails, phone calls, PM's and telegraphs coming.

We need to know how much food we need to have.

SADC = McClain and Nani Falcone Courses

Kind of like Waterloo and Round Rock.
