I am going to be staying at the Beverly Garland Holiday Inn in N. Hollywood CA on a business trip.

Does anyone know of any courses close to that location??

Sylmar is on the other side of the Valley, and the new course at Chavez Ridge near Dodger Stadium isn't too far away either. Check the course directory and plot away to see what might work best. (Historical sidetrip not too far away and well worth the drive if you can avoid rush hour complications is found at the World's First, Oak Grove/Hahamonga in Pasadena.)

I wouldn't go to Chaves Ridge again if you paid me.
Having to throw over homeless, trying to find no. 1, and I don't know if they replaced hole 9 yet. Going there was one of the worst experiences of my disc'n life.

Alrighty then, it doesn't sound like a good choice for a guy from Oklahoma..

Which course would you play in that area>>>

You are fine going to sylmar and oak grove.
Other than that I would go to eldo, huntington or la mirada.
