I'm writing a story for Flying Disc Magazine about the courses at Snowmass and Sabattus and would be interesting in hearing from anyone who has played either of the courses. I can be reached at

You should talk to John Bird in Colorado. He is the President of Mile High Disc Golf Club and is the main force behind getting things done for SNOWMASSIVE which is the tournament up there this year. If you go to Mile High Disc Golf (http://www.milehighdiscgolf.org/) you can get his contact info from the contacts page.

You can also PM Taka Sakai (user name Taka - go figure) on this board. A great guy and put in a ton of work on the Snowmass course(s).

Will be in SNOWMASS in T-minus 28 hours. I've skiied up there every year for the past 19 years, but have never had the chance to play DG there...
I see the dang sign while passing the Burlingame lift every time though, and it makes me wanna play.
When is the Snowmassive tournament usually held?
Ramcat, you've been out there to play?!?

Hey Tradd. Are you back in Charleston?
Haven't had the good fortune of visiting the Snowmass area. Taka Sakai, the golfer I mentioned in my other post, has inlaws here in Western NC, but lives at Snowmass. Super guy. Look him up while you are out there even though the courses aren't in the ground.

Yep. I'm back in Charleston.
Unfortunately, I didn't make it up to Yadkinville this year. It was in my plans, until I heard it turned into a 1-dayer. It's still in my top 5 courses, though. Just too long of a drive for 1 day tourney for me.
Anyways, I'll be too busy skiing with the fam out there to do any golfing, but I'd love to take a summer trip to play Snowmass, as I'm on that mountain every year (just gotta figure out the timing/cost issue :)
Hope to see you soon. You going to Earlewood? (either time in March?)

Yadkinville's Spring Tourney this year is a two dayer TD'd by Ben Porter. Come on up 26-27 April I think.
One more year that I'll be missing Earlewood tournies. We're doing an Augusta roadtrip in May and will possibly hit Earlewood as a cool down on the way back to NC.
Hang in there TR.
