24th Annual Mid-America Open
Join us for the 24th annual Mid-America Open Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, July 12th and 13th, 2008. This PDGA B-tier pro and amateur event will be played on 3 beautiful and challenging courses in Columbia. Download a registration form here.

We anticipate fielding advanced, intermediate, and novice divisions in the amateur ranks as well as multiple pro divisions. All contestants will play 4 rounds of golf, and there will be a final 9 for the top 4 players in the Open, Masters, and Women�s divisions. All amateurs will receive a players� package, and we�re adding funds to the purse to guarantee generous payouts for all divisions. Continuing our Mid-Am tradition, women play for half price. For example, Open Women players will pay $45 to register, but their prizes will be based on the $90 registration fee for the Open Men�s division. We also have done our best to keep low registration fees for novice and junior divisions.
In addition to great golf, we are planning other fun activities over the weekend:
� Doubles tournament on Friday afternoon starting at 1 p.m.
� Regular in-round CTPs
� Ace fund covers the entire weekend � if not hit during a round, we�ll have a throw off for it
� Ring of fire and other games of skill for pride and prizes
� Mini tournament on Saturday evening
� Great barbecue and d-golf party Saturday evening

These guys are giving the players a great rate! Only $39.99 a night. Players call direct and , must tell the desk that they are here for the Mid-America Open when registering in order to recieve the advertised price.
We encourage you to preregister by printing and completing the registration form and mailing it with your check or money order to the club. You can register on-site starting at noon on Friday at Oakland Park, Friday evening at the host hotel, or Saturday morning before 9:30 a.m.
The annual doubles tournament will be played Friday, July 11th at 1:00 p.m. Bring a partner or find one when you arrive. On-site registration for the doubles tournament will begin at noon on Friday.
There are also campgrounds convenient to the golf courses. The Cottonwood RV Park is less than 2 miles from Oakland Park and features hookups for campers (573.474.0671). For tent campers, or if you prefer a more woodsy camp-site, you might consider Finger Lakes State Park which is just 8 miles north of Columbia off Highway 63. Finally, one of our club officers is offering primitive camping at GarverLand (a private disc golf course, 573-474-5281) at a great rate (whatever you can afford).
