A small, local private college in my area is in the process of installing a course on it's campus, and the availability of the course to the non-student public has become a talking point. It seems that during school sessions that parking is at a premium (duh? it's a small college), and the non-student disc golf public runs the risk of getting parking tickets and such. But hey, they said we (the non-student disc golfer public) could play it, it's their property, and in the end I'm fine with that.
I just wanted to get some feedback from disc golfers that know of a small college that has a course on-site and how the availability to the non-student public goes. Some examples close to me would be Emory and Henry, VA and Mars Hill, NC.

Will the school not give or sell you visitor parking passes?

In Greenville, NC at the ECU course they will ticket you if you park in school parking W-F 8-5 or when a baseball game is going. All other times you can park there. Luckily there are neighborhoods all around the course you can park in and walk.

I've never had a problem, as long as I ask first. If I know I'm heading out of town on business, I check the area and ask any private courses for permission. That seems to work.

That said, I can't go over to the local college and use their gymnasium without being a student and/or paying for parking.
