Is this event the first or second weekend in January? I know Discette knows the answer.
I hope it's not the same weekend as the Visalia CVS tourney.

The 2009 Battle for the Bucket will be January 17 & 18th in Santa Maria.

Invitations for So Cal members have been emailed to those with current email addresses on file. Invitations will be formally presented at the Year End Event and Awards Banquet on December 14.

If anyone is planning on attending the Awards Banquet we need to know by Monday as we have to provide numbers to the banquet hall. There is still room in the Disc Golf event and for the banquet. Free online signup is available at:

Suzette, how many are currently signed up for the banquet?

About 50 for the banquet and 40 or so for the Year End Challenge.

The temporary disc golf course we are setting up for the day is not a super long layout. It has been reduced to 18 holes this time around so will hopefully be more fun for all.

Thanks, Discette.
Not sure if I'm Anni's partner(?) or not this year, but I'll be there. KL

NorCal takes the top point leaders from all of the divisions. Travers then uses his "captain picks" and invites whoever we need to fill the holes when players can't make it. Basically I have no idea is going to show up other than Dave Malelepsy and myself for PGM. Travers and Anni Kreml will play Dave Dunipace and Discette in the co-ed match.

Wish list for the players package: First run Groove

It looks like the weather will be cooperating this weekend. 78 degrees will be awesome, baby(Dicky V.)!
According to Coach Travers, all of the Am point leaders will be there for NorCal, but many of the Pro point leaders will not be there, including Jim Oates. Bummer for us! :(

Still hoping that "the groove" will be in the player packs. C'mon Dave. :D

I know some playas were out there practicing today...dawgs.

I wanna go surfing instead. Maybe just boogie boarding(sponge [censored](weak kitties) is what my buddy in HI calls us). I don't care.

See ya all at Stinky's on Sat nite. Let's party CA. This event is my favorite of the year. Last year SoCal arranged some sweet kegs:p(open to casuals and gallery). This is one loose event. Can't wait to start driving tomorrow.
So travel safely and remember: It's not a race!

Groove me, Dave!

Here's the NorCal lineup sheet -- I'm not sure if it's final. I did not see the SoCal sheet.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Strohs are San Diego Aces members.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll remove them from the article. :(
