What's the farthest north course off I-95 without snow on the ground?

ps -- it's slightly ridiculous here in Philadelphia. Please don't start blabbling about the wonders of snow golf and how great it is to play in chest deep snow -- it's not. I'm just looking for earth golf.

I'd guess (from a weather map of snow cover): Lake Park in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
Another 37 miles south gets you Silver Layke ,Sunset Park, Farmington Park, and Englewood Park in Rocky Mount.
But, that's not "ground truth".

Appreciate the response -- maybe some of the locals will see the thread and let me know if their course is snow-free by tomorrow. If I'm out of school again tomorrow (so much snow to clear/move the buses may still not be able to get through -!!) I may just drive south until I see dirt. Who knew mud wasn't so bad?

Wow -- must've gotten a bunch of snow today, the snow cover radar map shows nothing much south of lubbock. http://www.intellicast.com/travel/weather/snow/cover.aspx . Wish I was in Texas. Wish I was in Wimberley. I'd have a Shiner and throw a frisbee that I would then be able to go and find . . .and then actually pick it up!! What a concept!!

Here is Dallas, we are going to be close to a record. The greatest snowfall in one calendar day is, from what I have heard, around 7 inches, and as of late this afternoon, the official station at DFW Airport has received over 6 inches. Decatur, which is about 50 miles northwest of Dallas, has reportedly received 11 inches. On my drive home this afternoon, I heard someone on the radio say that the snow had gone as far south as Waco, which is slightly farther south than Savannah, GA!
The Dallas school district will be closed tomorrow because of weather, which is rare, and rarer still is the cause is a snowstorm. The great majority of the time, if the ISD is closed for winter weather it is because of an ice storm. This area of Texas, for some reason, gets ice storms and hail much more frequently than snow.
I grew up in the Midwest, but I have lived in Dallas since 1987, and I have never seen snow like this since I left there. I got a text message from my 11 year old daughter, letting me know that this was the first time in her life that she could make a snow angel in her front yard!
As I type this tonight, I look outside my window at the street, and hardly anyone has their front porch lights on, because between the cloudy sky and the snow, it is plenty bright already!
I love the eerie silence that a snowfall causes, muffling the ambient sounds of the day. I rarely hear it anymore, and I really enjoy it when I do.

Would be a lot for Dallas -- the nice part is that over the next couple of days it looks like you'll get back to normal as the snow should melt off. In my neighborhood there's no melt in sight.
Sadly the same dang storm that got you guys is messing up my plans as NC is getting it next -- currently thinking Greenville NC -- there's a little barbecue joint that looks good and snow's forecasted around an inch. When you're staring at 70+ in the yard an inch seems like 0.
Although I'm sure an inch in the south will seem like 2 feet to the locals. I remember being in Nashville when they got an inch -- panic everywhere!
C'est la guerre!
