with 4 DG offerings in the Utrecht area, the PDGA course directory seemed to have dropped a few in NL in the last year... nevertheless... Park Oudegein in Nieuwegein, Het Podium DG Parcours in IJsselstein, 'Sally's Disc Golf Putting Garden in Utrecht's Voorn and the Prinses AmaliaPark in Leidsche Rijn can make a full day's DG.

For a gr Grandmaster, I might suggest a B&B in De Meern by the fam.Goes and try to play on a 'third weekend' on a bicycle(s).

conspicous in its absence is a recent folder about the 'DG British Open' , perhaps with a bit of the history of it, too?

Mats Bengston is the British Open ! Perhaps a NL'er will win it this year! A close 2nd to Fernando, of 'course' :) who owns the Colchester tournament again , no doubt.

I'm/we're Waiting to hear if the wfdf.org likes the 2018 notion to support the idea of flying disc in the winter games. It may be an interesting to reunite DG with freestyle via 'air-brushing', with accuracy, 'thon and culminating with the two-words game of "world war-free". If 2022 is better, I recall hearing time is natures way of making sure that everything happens all it once, when it does happen though I can see a finite number of gallery passes will be issued starting with 42 hundred and diminishing each year how many?

I moved back as an amateur last year with some thanks to the PDGA people.

This year,as a favor, I got a small quiet sponsorship to be part of helping make room for another Amateur player in the Dutch Open.

Together with that notion, I also joined the Stockholm Open in July, but had to play I play with Pro prices. I like remaining as a Amateur, is there any pdga official who see's it different that if I happen to come in 1-2 or maybe 3 ( not likely, I'm having a tough time finding a PDGA 'Kaddy', who can join my team) and not accept money and remain as an amateur athlete?

2nd year this event, last time wind and rain...

in 2000 we received a brochure about the 'Het Rijnsche Park' "leve het groen", moving from IJsselstein to Utrecht and at that time the "putting winnaars" was then, in its 4 year, where every November 15-20 people, with no large planning, played a simple 'putting game' with 3, 7 and 14 meters, making 3 or "putts'.***

In 2003 , now living in the Parkwijk, where we have 4 parks!, a proposal was received by the City of Utrecht to make a disc golf 'parcours' but then not like 9 in Nieuwegein and the 6 in IJsselstein, but a full 36 course ( 2 x 18) and host a European Championship and with some cooperation from other clubs, namely Rotterdam, Amsterdam and the Dunantpark in Eindhoven we can even come up with a pretty good proposal for a world championships. ( I ventured and played in the 2005 PDGA Worlds in the USA and saw 4 full 18 hole courses in use). This map was from that time

We were told, first, we needed to request a small initiatief to show the 'draagvlak' ( see we can have a large group of 'flying practicioners' ) by playing regularly in the Prinses AmaliaPark once or twice a month, which turned out to every week, winters, too.

We received a grant producing 1500 brochures ( 1000 then + 500 more), create the 'ART' ( Accuracy Range Target) , six pole-holes were spread around in the P.A. & Voorn Park(s),and discs with the 23 april hotstamp with zephyrs, aviars and Goaltimate discs.

We are in the 2nd year of a May Workshop w flying disc(s) and hope PDGA players ( we call them the 'Dulcimer Disc Golf Club' and continue to encourage people to come to the park ( Wednesday evenings) and try their first "triple fake" or establish their personal 'timed' record for throwing a disc in the air and catching it with one hand ( see the 2nd picture in this message)

*** ah yea, this November will be our 15th year with the Putting Winnaars, with over 140 peoples name on the list with this simple game or two:). In holland they count every 5 years as a 'lustrum' so its our 3rd!

Kaddying is an option, anytime ( still working on getting the rules change from the C to the K?) Is this player coming to the Dutch Open this year? Hiring? I can only accept expenses, so maybe, like in the '85 tournament in Helsingborg when Bob Blakely hired two kaddies! ( the schooner hat was awesome and soon nabbed at the univ.)

on the recent [Disc_golf] Leagues in Amsterdam en Rotterdam, een tussenstand

you can see disc golf is beginning to wake up and for the non dutch readers
you can click to the results to two different venues, on on Saturday and the other Sunday, going until the 19th of August. To play, One Euro is asked for a contribution ( perhaps to add to a fund to repair the two pole-holes at the Amsterdam course). I went there Saturday finding the bus #69 from Schiphol airport. Two stops further and one can visit the Pirates Baseball Club in the Ookmeerpark. It took about 15 minutes. Sunday, I had the opportunity to play the "Roel the League', next to the baseball stadium ( bus #38 or 39?) and all 18 pole-holes with 'painted' tee's were there. In the afternoon, the 3rd Sunday in IJsselstein, with Xander , Simone L. and Rowan and myself played some 'ronkonkkoma' putting and approaching. Added was a new, affter 7 years a 2nd hand market with fresh strawberries, etc.:)

De League wedstrijden in Amsterdam Sloterpark (elke zaterdag) en
Rotterdam Roel Langerak (elke zondag) zijn nu een goed stuk onderweg, en
het lijkt erop dat het een erg goed initiatief is.

In Amsterdam zijn er in de eerste 5 weken al 24 verschillende spelers
geweest, met 2 weken geleden het grote aantal van 18 (!!!) spelers.

Dit zou deels kunnen komen doordat de wedstrijden vooral op Facebook

Bij deze wil ik jullie allemaal graag uitnodigen om ook eens langs te
komen bij zowel de League wedstrijden als de Facebook groep.
Het lijkt alsof deze Facebook groep tot veel meer interactie tussen de
spelers uitnodigt dan deze mailinglist en het frisbeesport.nl forum.

Terug naar de League wedstrijden:

Voor slechts 1 euro per dag kan je iedere zater- en/of zondag een ronde
spelen op dezelfde locatie.

Vaker op dezelfde course spelen zal ongetwijfeld je spel verbeteren, en
een extra bijkomend voordeel is dat we door zo geregeld te spelen op
dezelfde locaties, we ook steeds meer acceptatie en respect van de
lokale bewoners gaan krijgen.
En voor de PDGA leden, elke ronde die je speelt in deze Leagues tellen
gewoon mee voor je rating.

Van deze eerste series League wedstrijden zijn de laatste rondes op 18
en 19 augustus, en er zijn al plannen in de maak om vanaf het
daaropvolgende weekend de nieuwe series al weer te laten starten.

Er werd ook al voorgesteld om in Nieuwegein een League te starten, waar
nog even nagedacht moet worden over de te spelen course, en het tijdstip
in de week.

I get an evening later on, to work on the 'mental floss', though, in the evening of another 'winter disc golf tour event', this time back in Doorn (see schedule ergens anders), I like to put up some info about the last winter tour event. With some assistance from Hans H., I'm ending my 'WDGT' participant as a player.

I like to share from this PDGA Kaddy about the tour and our sport from time to time. I got some feedback on that and this is a newsletter and hope to make another one after I go to the Doorn event ( Utr CS; bus #50, to bus-stop/halte its called 'Sonora' and the walk to the park is not far)

To perhaps make a coin or two, I'm working on a PDGA Kaddy version #42:)

If there's not any more DISCussion about 2012, tomorrow will be the 1st Tuesday of the month here in the Parkwijk's; Prinses AmaliaPark (west side)
and instead of the standard '15:00 disctivity', 9:30 a.m. and can 'meemaken'
the result of the evenings new year celebration that cost many people collectively 'shelled out' �73.000.000,- to make a big mess:) in all fairness please visit www.nooitmeermopperen.nl and I'll be doing my best to see the bright side of the street.

Before that though, can anyone tell me why there is no such thing as an 'inheritance tax' in the states... in Holland, when one inherit's a �100.000,- house, one has to pay �40.000,- in taxes, then one can live it in one's own name:). I can see, perhaps a 2% tax for all these homes that have been 'inherited'... and 1% will go to the disc golf courses in all 50 states, to keep the ceiling price for a DG event back on the ground. Before we know it, baseball tickets will be more in-expensive than a 'gallery pass' !

I can see the folks keeping the fire warm for the Winter Olympics in 2018 in Korea ( see other channel).. I have to say... 'kam sa ham ni da' and I'm real glad there will be no 'rabies' to contend playing a round of Disc Golf or completing a round of 'thon' or even waiting around for a place to stage at one of the 'accuracy range target's' and establish the 1st winter world records. Self-caught flight, with some animal chasing you might have been
a hair-raising nightmare, but no worry now we can concentration on the 'cluminating' event... a game of 'World War-Free (two words)'. Stork's record of a team of @180 players on a team, may be broken? kwo dek kiwis wek ha!
