Someone I know recently injured there throwing arm, he wants to play left handed untill his right arm has healed. Is it allowed to re-register with pdga so it doesn't hurt his rating? I couldn't give him an answer can anyone shed some light on this topic?

i dont see anything wrong with it, if it were another guy with two working arms it would be a whole different story. but your friend has a handicap so it should be fine. as long as he switches back to the old membership when he is healed.

I'm guessing Gentry would have the final say, but I'm doubting it (that 'it would be allowed'). Players are people...not people doing specific things (like throwing a certain way, etc.).

One has to consider how "hurt" is "hurt enough" (to allow such).

There are enough ambidextrous people out there that could (not saying they would) 'take advantage of such' - either way (bagging or otherwise) - to make this quite the pandora's box.

One is allowed only one PDGA number. Nothing prevents this player, however, from informing the PDGA about the current situation, in hopes of said rounds not being used to change the player's rating. The first few rounds would probably not be used anyway, since they would probably be outside of the statistical bounds created by the player's previous rounds.
