I am capping this even at 100 players. Online sign ups will be available soon on pdga.com.

We will play two rounds of 18 Saturday and one round of 18 on Sunday.
Sunday will be based on tee times by card/division, just like Wayne did at Haikey.
And, once a division is done and in the books you can get your payout then rather than waiting for the other divisions to finish!!
This is something I am trying this year. Obviously it doesn't make for a big award ceremony but it gets people paid and on their way, if they so chose..

It's Riverside Glide week and I must say everything is looking great. The weather is forecast for no rain with normal temparatures.
Players packs are in route, I think you will be very pleased.
This year we are changing things again. Three rounds total, two on Saturday then tee times on Sunday morning for one round.
Another wrinkle is this, as a division is completed Sunday, we will tally the scores, sort the places and you can pick your own payout right then and there.
No waiting for another 5 divisions to finish. We will of course have a closing ceremony but for those people, like me, that want to play, get paid and get on their way, this should be perfect.
I have pre-reg updated, 8 players so far. I am 99% certain this will fill as the event is capped at 100 players.
I will have sign up sheets at Riverside tomorrow night.
Friday we will run a doubles event, tee from 3:00 to 6:00. I strongly encourage you to come by Riverside Friday and sign up even if your not playing doubles. That will make for a stress free Saturday morning for all of us.
I hope to see everyone this week and weekend. Historically this is one of Tulsa's longest standing events and it is great to see continuing support.
Let me know if there are any questions.
You can still sign up on PDGA as I authorized late sign ups....

If they don't charge it to you, they charge it to the TD. $3.25 for the convenience of not having to go to the park to sign up is a deal. FurDog is right about the morning of, many tournaments now charge extra for sign ups the morning of the event. Some as much as $10.
Get ready, as tournament attendance grows, there will be a point where signups will not be allowed the day of the event. Online will be the way to go, even if it costs $5 extra.

Pre-reg is updated, 23 players. Thanks to all 23 of you!!
I realize it does cost but those guys have to make a little something.
Anyway we can discuss that at another time.
For now, everything is looking great. Matt and I are going to be around later this afternoon.
Doubles will start at 3:30 with last card out at 6:30. As I said, payout will be Saturday.
Sign ups end at 9:00 tomorrow morning. Players meeting by hole #1 at 9:30.
Grilla Ray will be there with dogs chips drinks and a few other goodies.
He will give you a free bad of chips if you purchase a dog and a drink..
I think everyone will like the players pack. I have 4 different glow disc, 25 of each:
Aviar
Orc
Wraith
Tee Birds
I am not sure what the deal is, but I think they have some extra nuclear stuff in these disc because they glow like CRAZY!!!
Please try to car pool. Parking in the neighborhood isn't a bad option at all. It is only a couple of block walk.
I will have your Sunday tee times up by the end of the 2nd round. These may not be by individual player name but they will at least show which cards tee when.
I plan on the lowest Rec card teeing at 8:00 am Sunday morning. That puts the lead Pro card teeing last a little after 11:00.
Please let me know if there are any questions. I will be online some until 3:00. You can always call my cell.. 918-639-3959.
Come sign up this evening if at all possible..
Otherwise, see you before 9:00 am tomorrow.

I know most NT's the sign ups cut off 3 or 4 days before the event.
I think saying no sign ups after Friday evening is coming very soon..
Saturday morning is a scramble if you have 70 people sign up. Once you cut off sign ups you have 30 minutes to print scorepoint cards, score cards and sort the holes.
Being able to do that Friday night is a TD's dream!!!

Scores are up. I had to shower and eat some Bar B Que in that order.
Thanks to everyone that came out for a blistering day.
We had 67 players which I thought was pretty low for the Glide.
I am not sure if the heat, parking or the mass bag tag kept folks away.
Thanks to those that are playing. I hope everything went smooth. We focused on keeping water out and getting everything ready for the next round.
Tee times tomorrow. I will post those on here again.
Call me with any questions, 639-3959.
The first card tee's at 8:00 and the final pro card at 10:30.
We are going to tee starting at hole 10. That way if there are hot contest people can see them finish on 8 and 9, makes for better viewing than 17 and 18.
Get some rest, chug water and if in doubt about your tee time, either call me or show up early..
Thanks again to all the sponsors and my great staff. Pennekamp, Skinner and of course Wise and Matt are always great to pitch in.
When we pulled up to the park at 6:45 this morning I told Matt, you wait Wise will already be there under his favorite tree.
Sure enough, there he was!!!!

Scores are up.
Thanks to everyone, the volunteers, sponsors and most of all the players.
I want to thank the sponsors, TDSA, Wayne Forest, The Line, Cool Daddy Slick Breeze, Woody and Evan McKee.
Everyone was very cool and great to work with. I think the glow tournament stamps were well received. Thanks again to George Skinner for our second design in a row.
It was very hot but people kept a good attitude and played through in true Oklahoma style.
Congratulations to the winners. Adam Hunt is our new Riverside Open champion.
I remember when Adam started showing up at mini's at the River a few years ago. He played Pro pretty much from day one. I thought, who is this guy. I have never seen him before and he just showed up and showed great skills right off.
This was a fun weekend. I hope everyone liked the format and quick payout. We tried to keep you hydrated and moving and I think we accomplished that.
Four of the Am CTP winners received very nice 2008 USDGC Roc's and they all seemed VERY pleased.
Looking forward to Wise's event Saturday and the infamous Crow Throw Sunday. I look forward to playing Riverside with some else running it!!
Thanks again..

Evan was very cool to give it to us and even said, "be sure and give it away".
I screwed up.
Thoughts anyone???
Evan has the right to withdraw it at this point.
I do have all the scorecards, except one where the player wanted it.
We could still throw them all in a box and have someone draw..

Yeah Dan had a little Pro/Open flare up there.
I think it was just a misunderstanding of the rule.

I know I have said this before but I really would like to win the Advanced World Title. I know its no big thing to party about but thats one of my disc golf goals. I'm not saying I will play Advanced for the rest of my life if I don't win it but I would like to give it a Really good shot and by a really good shot I mean by not missing 3 or 4 15-25 Footers a round like I did this year.
When I did play good Thursday and on I was making big leaps thru the field and missed the final 9 by 2 or 3 and the guy in 4th place jumped to 2nd by taking 2 birdies on some big hyzers.

So do you normally not miss 3 or 4 putts inside the circle during an average tournament round ?
On a course like Riverside you might have 8-14 putts inside 30 a round. I would expect to miss a few.
Most people who just don't hardly ever miss inside the circle are rated 1010 and up.
Or can't drive for nuthin and everything else is just weak :P

As for you Hatton, you are now almost 930 rated.
So your rating is up almost 30 points...
And you shot about 975 at The Riverside Glide.
Like I said earlier drive better and you should shoot double digits there regularly.
You need to wean yourself off Chandler :)

With all of its problems, Water, Misquitoes, Mowing....
It doesn't make the Tulsa Schedule much anymore especially in the warm season.

Love your thoughts but I am always reminded of the fatal fact that you drive for show and putt for dough.
Short courses may not challenge your distance skills but if it takes 3 to get into the basket from 150 feet then the short game needs work too!
Chandler and Riverside play two very important rolls in the disc golf community of greater Tulsa.
They each allow rank beginners to feel a sense of accomplishment after a very few rounds of play and they can always be used to fine tune the approach and putt aspects of even the best players games.
You are correct that it is a shame that Black Hawk is all but unplayable half of the year but over time that too may change. Tulsa may yet some day get a gold rated course but it will require a lot of hard work to acquire it and then maintain it. Oh and having a few more than 20 die hards to play it would help too.

3 shots to get to the basket at chandler? :P im furious with myself if i dont shoot at least 10 down at chandler.. i can shoot 10 down at chandler with just my putter.... lol
I live off the putt for dough theory, however it doesnt really hold up when you encounter one of those players that puts 12 drives with in 15 feet :D

Even when my putting was at it's best this weekend I still found a way to shank about 6 total putts inside of 33 1/3". I agree with Dale. Make all of those putts and you should be golden. Driving and landing next to the pin is still my favorite though.

Ok, the HOTB free entry has been decided via a very random drawing.
Penny was over so he drew out of a large brown Braums sack with all the cards well mixed inside.
I have the winner and I drew two back-ups in case the winner cannot attend.
The winner is:
Sean Young
2nd Place
Steve "Dig" King
3rd Place

Sean Young, let me know if you can make it. I will try to call you as well.
Congratulations and a big thanks to Evan and the crew for the donation.
