I haven't heard of any problems since his return....
but I was the personal recipient of his anger at the KC Wide Open one year.
Worse display of unsportsman like conduct I have ever seen displayed towards another player.
and no I didn't do anything wrong.
Lets hope he has turned it around.

It's Cool to see the Homies in the hunt at the Pro Worlds, it's especially prideful for me because your starting to see what good courses can do to your local talent. Good courses train the homies to be able to play anywhere. The Dude has proven it all over the place, the ORU crew and what happened to big fish little pond, why the hell is Hatfield not at worlds?
It took alot of in fighting with the club to finally be able to build some pro style courses, but it's paying off.
Good job Big Fellas!
I miss seeing CrackAttackMitchMac out and about and great to see him in the hunt. I'm looking forward to 3 years from now, cuz If all I have to do to win it is beat June Bug Hammock I can't wait to move up.

Dale,
I played at the IDGC in 2007 when the opened the new HQ bldg. I loved the Jackson course, but struggled on the Headrick. The third course was not yet open. How was that course compared to the other two?

I have to confess that I only had time before the tourney to play the two courses that I ended up playing during the tournament. Which were the Jackson and Headrick courses, But looking at the map,The Werner course appears a little more open, shorter and a little more technical, more turns ect.
I intend to find out :)

I've got about 20 rounds on the Jackson and Steady Ed course and 6 rounds on Warner and all of them are very similar when it comes to "open". The Jim Warner course needs about 3 more years of play but it may turn out to be the best course there, but really all the courses are still below what I think the standard should be at the IDGC. They are ok but the headquarters should have amazing courses.
By the Way Good job DEVAN Top 10!!! Hell yeah!

Kevin, what would you consider the 2 major weaknesses of the Jackson and Headrick courses?
I like the setting for sure and I know alot of work went into these courses.
What would you do to make the existing courses "amazing" ?

I am not asking you to impail yourself on your own sword.
As a course designer I respect and would like your imput on these courses.
I saw a well respected Golfer/Designer make a comment that on #9 on the Jackson Course the tree about 35 just short and right was really in the fairway and should be removed.
Just one example of a possible change that I heard mentioned.

I would give all the courses 6 out of 10. They are fine and adequate but since they are at the PDGA HQ they should be some of the best in the world. Some of the holes had good intentions but they didn't work and they are too stubborn to change them #4 Steady Ed & #3 Jackson as example.
There are still way too many stumps and "debris" in the fairways, which of a course at that stature they need to bring bulldozers in and completely scrape the ground and smooth the fairways out. It's frustrating to nut the fairway and be up against a stump.
If your gonna carve out courses, why leave random trees in the middle of fairways? Take holes 14 & 16 at Blackhawk, they could both fit in on any of the IDGC course. There is a definite clear fairway without random trees which brings less luck facotr and more skill factor. IDGC still has a lot of luck factor.
The Warner was designed mostly by Jim Kenner of Discraft and he is a excellent course designer. It just needs some time, it's barely over a year old. They were the 3rd course in and didn't get to use the prime land and had to make due with the land that was left. It's seems cool but there are still a lot of rough areas.
The courses are all still relatively new and I'm far from giving up on them as being great.
I am big fan of all the holes on the lake, but go figure I love the water holes.:D

I think a tight anhyser opening on #4 headrick for that back pin would be cool.
Same thing on # 3 Jackson, make it a risk reward, option.
Play the big fairway play for your 3, or risk the tight line to shoot for 2.
I completely understand the occasional stump in the fairway.
Hopefully they can continue to groom the courses as time goes on.
I understand the random tree issue in the fairway landing zones.
A good example is #1 on Jackson.
I believe they intended there to be one landing area to the right, about 20 -30 past the 1st fairway trees, to be rewarded consistently with an open shot.
You can cut off some distance to the left and maybe miss the trees...
or get kicked left into the woods. agree its random luck IF you go left.
I really believe the concept of these trees is just like fairway bunkers.
If you hit the designed line and distance no problem, but if you stray they are definitely in play.
Just like ball golf fairway bunkers...
Love the lake holes as well.
Not to mention playing in the Georgia Pines :O)
Thanks for your imput.

If you can make it back, I can show you some sneaky lines on some of the holes to make birdies on those par 4's and 5's out there. It's my good Homie Josh Childs home courses so between playin about 7 events there and some practice rounds with the Rooster, I'm getting to know those courses really well.
The Augusta Classic is just 8 weeks away make it another trip out there ;)
