IMO Wayne Forest and Mike Click have done enough for Okie doubles and Disc Golf they can take the tournament anywhere they want....not trying to be a A##[email protected] but you have not done enough for Okie Doubles or Disc golf to [email protected] about it going to Pawhuska for this year.

Managed to get in two rounds at McClure today....one from the alt's and one from the pads..one with some pro's, one without....finished 5 up both times!!! The heat does play a factor.....with a partner I know I could have finished at least 4 up....get your team ready for the Okie Dubs at The Lodge!!!! This is the last dubs event to do that....

Here is another great fund raising idea. You guys out there need to be taking notes and writing this down so that when you see it at a major tournament or on ESPN you'll know who invented it.

A player pays $1 on # 11's pad. I throw a water balloon from across the creek and if they catch it unbroken they get $5 in merch.

Pay $2 and I throw a raw egg and if they catch it unbroken they get $15 in merch.

Pay $5 and I throw a raw dog turd and if they catch it barehanded they get $25 in merch and their picture on the board with the turd.:D

I wish I had thought of this before the Rose Bowl deal because Dave could have saved money on the bottled water.

What a great time! Furdog got his flea bath for the year!!!! Karla will have scores posted tomorrow!

yes, I had a hand in dunking him twice for a total of 12$ !!! I got him once and paid for Sarah Slane to get him as well. That was well worth it. Excellent event, but you forgot to turn on the a/c Duff, lol. Thanks to my last minute partner Gary. He literaly hurt his back carrying me around around the course. I wasn't any good today cept' for a few solid putts and a birdie or two.

Had a blast, played like crap and still smiled most all day.:D
It was hot enough that when you looked out over the course, it looked like cattle shoving each other for room under any shade available.

The dunk tank was much more fun when I was dunking than getting dunked.
I think I talked enough crap that most would be ready to line up again.:cool:

I would like to say that the �Duff Tank� was a lot of fun. Without knowing the final tally I'm assuming Dave did raise the most funds. I believe my total was only $95 after the first round though I would also like to mention that there were many that did not pay and just ran up there and slapped the target. Of these I did call out Dave Wise who did it at least once, Billy Swanson, and Dan Bougher. All of which had they had paid their fair share would have increased my fund raising total.:mad:

Dave can take the credit for his win but needs to remember that I subsidized the $5 for a large number of players, including his partner Sammy, Sarah Slane, Geiger, Gary Harrison, and almost all the little kids that wanted a shot at him.:p

And to tell you the truth it was a lot of fun to see him getting dunked in water I had just P�d in earlier in the day. Every time he came up spitting out a mouth full of water I just had to chuckle inside knowing that finally he had become the fire hydrant Furdog had always known that he was. The more he went down the more yellow he became. It was almost like dying Easter eggs. No need for me to mark that territory anymore because he is marked for life.:)

I will admit a little regret that I did not personally dunk him myself though I am troubled not considering and knowing that I �slam dunk� him almost everyday here on this board.:rolleyes:

Another fun and entertaining event by Duff and his staff! If we don't lose Duff to the travelling circus, I think we are going to continue to have some fun times in Tulsa at these events!

A huge thank you goes out to the staff for this weekend...the John and Carla Barton, Dave Pennekamp, Brad H.O.I.,...and of course "THE LINE" What a great time we had this weekend....Thank You to all that came out to playand to those that just came out for the festivities! We had 58 teams! No one made the $5000 shot, but Kyle Razmus had the shot of the day so I paid him 5000 pennies ($50)!!:cool: The $200 in ctp's went to 20 different players..WOW! The Duff Tank was alot of fun (I'll try to get some video up on youtube) we made $250 on that thing...I mean Twoputt and Furdog made that!!! You all think they talk alot of crap on this board you should of heard them Saturday!!! Thanks guys for being willing to do that for us!:D :cool:

It's not worth debating. I know I am in the minority in thinking that anyone who has accepted cash (consistently) should play open in non sanctioned events and minis. The reasoning is to establish an enviromemt condusive to growth of individuals in ametuer divisions and the sport. Since I have moved to Tulsa I have seen 100+ occasions where I will hear something like "Oh Patton is playing Adv. I better sign up as Am". Then sure enough I look at the scores from last week at the mini and see he shot a 14 which was rated a 1040 at the Glide. Perception is everything and when someone does it once they are percievec to have that level of talent. I will admit it was fun following cash winning players into the Adv division though. I can see why people do it. :)

Just so you know... I was just pokin' fun. Still respect you two and your game. I was a little shocked that I am the only one who mentioned it after all the grumbling I heard on saturday.

And, Patton should be required to stay in the open pool after shooting a 14 down. Didn't know that he had it in him.

Maybe implement a new Mini rule- once you have won you're division at a course you must move up to the next division.

That's BH. I'll also be the first to admit what we did was conforming to what others did and it's not something I tradionally do or take pride in. I did however get the chance to play with some amazing up and comers that will be a serious threat to Open soon. Be assured that we wil play Open at Okie dubs even if we are the only team.
