We played Black Hawk Sunday and had a GREAT time.. No ticks or anything crawly at all.

The course is mowed and looking fine. It might need a little trimming, hole 10 from the white would be a challenge, but all in all it is looking great.

This course isn't played as much as some would like so here is your chance for some fall Black Hawk...

I had Oct. 16th & 17th written down on my calendar as dates for the Stillwater Classic. Is that still happening? Has it changed dates?

It is with great regret to inform you that there will not be a Stillwater Classic this year...

There are many contributing factors but in the end the Parks and Rec. Department was not willing too work with me on getting this tourney ready in time.

Although there will not be a 2010 Stillwater Classic I do plan on trying to work with the city so that I can run a classic in the spring and then another in the fall to get back on track.

I am running 2 events in Tulsa to sub for the classic, there will be a thread created for it.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to 2011 to get this long standing tournament "which is held on Oklahoma's 2nd oldest course" back on track...

Sorry to hear there is no Stillwater Classic this year. That is a special course for me since I learned to play there and I was looking forward to defending my title from last year AND you had a great payout last year! Good luck on getting this one back on the schedule.

All other divisions will play Whitehawk in the morning and Blackhawk in the afternoon

For those of you that don't know, Whitehawk is not a different course, it uses shorter tee pads on several of the holes on Blackhawk.

Well I sent a survey crew out early this morning to check out what holes at Blackhawk need some cleaning up and I will be out there this week getting it ready to play

The grounds have been kept up this summer and the course is looking awesome!

Remember Saturday is Blackhawk "singles" and Sunday is Riverside "doubles"

Matt spent a few hours at Black Hawk yesterday trimming up the course. I will say it is looking great and I encourage even those who fear the Hawk to come out.

It is really very playable and you can always lay up on the water holes.

This is a great course that needs played so come out and pitch a few!!

yeah I trimmed that hole but it was so overgrown I thought that area was part of the hole, but I will take care of it tomorrow...

I have been out at Blackhawk all week and I can't believe so many people play that course from pro's too beginners...

This is the best course in the state and 1 of only a hand full that resemble courses around the country, everyone should try it, just stay in the fairway and don't get consumed with throwing to the basket on every drive, it is real golf out there, you have to throw placement shots...IT'S GREAT!!!!

Thanks for trimming up hole 10 for us lefties. I looked at the one on hole 6. A pair of loppers will get that one. Its just some limbs growing out of a stump.

I don't plan on turnin' pro until I'm extremely close to thousand rated.. Half the time I do play Open in non-sanctioned events and minis. I have been in a slump lately until I went to Georgia last weekend and have been on fire since..:eek:
