What about having a measure added to the ballot for a membership vote other than an elected position?

I would like to see something on the ballot other than just an elected position as well.

I suggested we blow off the hotdogs and just do like the airlines and offer a bag of peanuts but that got shot down.

Then I suggested charging anyone who eats more than 2 hotdogs but was told that it wasn't fair to the "fat guys".

Then because I am normally the one that has to get the stinking hot dogs and buns Wayne tried to stick me with picking up the soda this year as well.:cool:

I said screw that, let's just apply for a mobile liquor license and sell beer and everybody can bring their own **** drinks.

I would like to bump this thread back to the top.

The annual club picnic and elections are very important. Based on our current memberships of around 150 we need at least 50+ people to vote in order for the election to be valid.

If you can't make it this weekend please contact Wayne or myself so we can get you a ballot. You can vote absentee in this election.

The weather is looking good Sunday so come out if you can. A couple of rounds of disc golf. Free hotdogs, pop, covered dishes etc.

Come out and support YOUR club and please vote..

Yea, I didn't. For the State offices I wanted to keep the current Insurance comm. Kim Holland. She has done a great job and we haven't had a scandal out of that office in a long time. She had really done a lot and brough the office into the technology world. It's just unfortunate she was a democrat and so many voted a straight ticket. It was a close race but having the dem by your name was a death sentance for the most part.

I was hoping we didn't reach the required quorum for a legal election and we could kick those four guys out and take over the club.:o

I personally wrote in "Dollar Dave" four times thinking that he might give back some of that money I've lost to him over the years.:)

I know there was a secret behind the scene conspiracy to write in Bud Johnson into power as well.:D

No there was a question to allow the board to make amendments and changes to the club constitution and bylaws, there was nothing to indicate what changes are to be made or if the membership will be allowed to vote on or approve those changes.

Much different than a vote on a specific amendment to the constitution or bylaws, which is what should happen if changes are made.

You're right.

The exact wording was:

“The Administrators of the TDSA propose to make changes to the Club Constitution and By-Laws to bring them to a current level. The Constitution was written 11 years ago. We feel it is important to make changes so the Club Constitution and By-Laws match our current club environment.”

As a voting Club Member , do you approve of this proposal for an amending process ?

Doesn't really say what those changes are. I know the annual fee isn't $15 anymore though.

I just got a copy at the last meeting.
