Wondering if binoculars/monoculars are allowed considering they don't give any info as far as distance to a spot on the fairway. 802.04--The use of devices which assist in determining distances over 10 meters , such as range finders and GPS devices are prohibited.
To me, they seem legal. I was thinking about using a monocular during the Worlds as many of the holes are very long and seeing the fairway/basket and O.B. lines can be difficult from the tee. Of course, I would need to state to my group at the beginning of the round "this is NOT a rangefinder", just a monocular. Opinions?
