Gordon kept the scores but Micah and Jay tied for first with 44 in open. Blu won advanced with a 49. The guy who won intermediate also shot a 49 but I don't remember who it was. The ace pot of $112 was hit by Paul M who aced hole 3 on the north side.

Next 1st Saturday will be 18 holes at Bart on Feb 7th. I'll post additional details later.

Paul M was the am winner and he aced #8 north side. Beginners don't know how to start filling in their card at their assigned hole. :cool:

how many holes are played 17 or 18 and are the t-boxes being marked so we all play the same tees?

All of last year it was 18 holes; all 15 holes that are there plus 1-3 a second time. I think Brad planned to keep that the same.

Entry fee - $8 for Open, Advanced, and Intermediate divisions
Optional $2 Ace Pot ($1 to carry over ace pot and $1 to a weekly CTP after the round)

Open division (pros) will be paid out in cash.

Advanced & Intermediate divisions (amateurs) will be paid out in Disc Nation Bucks, which can be redeemed at the Disc Nation Superstore, 1218 West Slaughter Lane.

A CTP will be held after each round on June 21 and July 5 from the carry over bounty that was on hole #5. $110 will be given away on each of these first 2 weeks.

I've heard a rumor(s) that the 1st Sat. mini's are no longer rotating, and will be held at Pease again, and that the Tuesday mini is also back on at Pease, and lastly that the Bart mini is no longer. Any or all of these have any truth to them?

The Waterloo Club is changing our monthly mini. It will no longer be on the 1st Saturday of each month. Instead it will be moved around, sometimes early in the month, sometimes in the middle, sometimes late, and sometimes not even on Saturday. This will give us some flexibility to work around what else in going on in the area and with the club.

So� for November, the mini will be:

This will be the last chance to play the full Searight course for a while (well, Sea-Wrong - the course is still in the reverse position) as the renovation project is scheduled to start just afterwards. And we hope some folks can stick around after the mini and help get the baskets moved. We are also starting with a big acepot, over $300. Plenty of ace opportunities out there, we hope to see you at Searight next Sunday.

So for this weekend, since there is no club mini, head on out to Round Rock for the HOTT finale; a great tournament run by great people! And the weather looks like it will be perfect for disc golf - go enjoy!

THIS SATURDAY - Pease Park Party & Minis: We are saying good bye to our beloved Pease Park disc golf course this year. Please come out this Saturday to play Waterloo's 9:00 and/or 2:00 minis to say adios to an Austin landmark (just $5 for Ams, $10 Pros). There will be T-shirts for sale, sausage wraps, a live band, silent auction and/or raffles, brewskies and much much more.

We are hoping to have some nice auction items of Pease history. If anyone has any Pease memorabilia that they would like to donate to the auction (shirts, discs, minis, etc.) it would be greatly appreciated.

The 9 am morning mini will be considered our December Monthly Mini. This means it starts with the ace pot money that has been growing all year, somewhere around $350. If no aces are hit, it will carry over to January�s mini.

The 2 pm afternoon mini will have the classic $5 Pease ace pot pay-in. If no aces are hit, there will be a CTP at the end of the round for the cash.

Yes, there is a mini at the Met Center on Tuesdays now. I saw this post somewhere (on facebook I think) from Bird:

Mini at the Met today, 3:30pm-5pm flex start and $200 in the open division ace pot. All skill levels are welcome, so all ams come out to get some great experience. Ams are paid in vouchers to play it again sports and have their own ace pot. the more people that come out the bigger it's a going to get.

He was running it at Bart, but has now moved to the Met Center.

The start time of the Waterloo Club�s weekly at Bartholomew is changing.

Beginning this Saturday, May 7th, the mini will start at 10 am.

It had been an afternoon mini, but summer is rapidly approaching so Phil is changing it to a morning mini. Should make for a much nicer round.

Due to the big Battle of Slaughter Creek tournament this weekend (at Austin Ridge Bible Church), there will be NO Bartholomew mini on Saturday morning. The mini will resume next Saturday, June 18th, (starts at 10 am).

The weekly Saturday morning mini at Bartholomew is cancelled on March 2, 2013 because of all the disc golf workdays going on around the city. he Waterloo Club�s weekly mini at Bartholomew Park on Saturday, April 27th is being delayed by 1 hour. It will begin at 11 am (instead of 10 am).


If you are going to play the mini, we hope you will come down to the park early, at 9 am, to help with the neighborhood�s mulching project. You can then head over for the mini at 11 am.

The mulching will be from 9 am � 12:30 pm and we�d love for you to help the whole time, but if you can�t be there the whole morning, please come help for as long as you can. More info about the workday can be found at the Club's "Work Days at Austin Courses" thread.

Also, please help us pass the word along to folks who regularly play that mini, especially those that don�t have email or aren�t online or on Facebook (or at least don�t check them often).

Waterloo Disc Golf Club will be holding a series of fundraisers to help us with the big reservation fee we are paying to use the Hancock Golf Course for the 36th Annual Waterloo Disc Golf Classic in October. They will be 1-day, 2-round events, and we�ll have a raffle at each one.

Tentatively, the dates are going to be:
August 10th
August 31st
September 21st

So mark your calendars and we�ll follow up with more information soon.

� Sign up begins 8:30, round 1 starts 9:30 followed by lunch, round 2, and raffle drawing

� PROS: $25 + $5 ace; AMS: $20 + $5 ace

� Ace Pot is optional; If there�s an ace, Waterloo will add $150 to the winnings. If no ace, CTP for the $5/each ace money.

� Entry fee includes $5 greens fee to TPCC and $2 donation to the 36th Waterloo Disc Golf Classic

Just a reminder about the start time change for the Waterloo Club�s weekly Saturday morning Bartholomew mini.

Until further notice (and at least until it cools down!) the new times are:

9:00 am Signup Starts

9:30 am Tee Off

Please try to get there as close to 9 am as possible.

Tomorrow (Sat. Aug 10th) is our first fundraiser mini for the 36th Waterloo Disc Golf Classic. We�ve got a BIG course reservation fee this year to have it at Hancock Golf Course, so please come on out and help us raise some money while having a great time at a wonderful facility.

Sign up begins at 8:30 am, round 1 tees at 9:30 am

Park has done a lot of work on the Hill course, removing rock and cactus, and he has been busy all week getting both courses mowed (needed thanks to all the unexpected July rains :) ). We�ll play the Hill in the morning, and the Shire in the afternoon.

We�ll have a basic lunch for sale (sausage wraps, potato salad, and beans), but there are also a number of food options close by on 290 in downtown Dripping Springs.

The PGA Championship is in full swing and Saturday�s round will be on the big screen TV in the clubhouse; plus the pool table, ping pong table, pro shop and blessed air conditioning!

Or bring your mountain bike and ride the trails at Twin Parks.

Come shoot for a big ace pot bonus. If there is an ace, Waterloo will add $150 to the ace pot!

Come out Saturday morning OR come out tonight to play the Night Golf mini that Meteor Mike and Disc Nation run out there, camp out, and wake up to play the Waterloo mini on Saturday. The night round starts at dusk.

And Thank You to the folks at league last night that started off our raffle by purchasing about $40 - $50 worth of tickets. We�ll have a bunch of great prizes to give away. You do NOT need to be present to win, so if you can�t play the mini, feel free to drop by any time during the day to purchase some tickets.

Finally, don�t forget that the Bart mini is cancelled tomorrow, it will resume next Saturday, August 17th, at its new time of 9:00 am.

Just a reminder that Waterloo�s normal Saturday morning Bart mini is cancelled this week (Sat. Sep. 21st), so come on out to Moody�s for a fun day of disc golf and help us raise funds for the 36th Waterloo DG Classic at Hancock Golf Course.

Remember, even if it is rainy this week or even on Saturday, the land out there is very sandy so it never turns into a mud-fest. It is a great place to play when wet.
