Tang made me miss 5 putts inside of 25 feet on Holes 2,5,5,8,9. Yes 5 is listed twice, i actually three putted but the 1st one was from 50'. I was just happy to shoot even(54) after being +4 over after holes 1-5.

Miles says he has my number at Z-Boaz based on the 3 rounds of golf that i've played there in the last 14 months. I say you don't have my number anywhere until your number equals 1000 or more.....which means you need to raise your rating another 32 points which is approx 4.5 strokes per round! I still love you though. :D :p

I'm not sure how many splits he had, but several. I read about a few on the disc this morning when I read the sigs. He said that he and Shawn had calculated he would probably get around $1200 from Brian Mace. Being a big believer in Ace Beer, Don did not get home until close to 10 PM, a couple hours after he had called to tell me about the ace. Thanks Ron for letting Don use your phone.

i loved playing everting short this winter when there were no minis for three weeks! but you know we cant move everting short till sunday ace is gone. i do think we should be able to move 1, and 14,15, that is if we handle the lock situation.

Don asked me to post this. Shawn Wootang Wooten aced hole 11 last night. He shot a flick shot that skipped early and went at least 13 feet high then hit nothing but chains. This was his first money ace at ZBoaz. As a person that runs the mini and maintains the course, we could not have wished anything better to be there when it hit. Oh, yes, and Don got a nice $100 split.

What minis that are left before daylight savings will be a 14 hole format and will play as follows 1,2,3,8,9 through 18. And that will help us finish with out daylight being a factor. And we are playing 18 short. :p

Brad hit the Thursday ace last night and took the mini with a sscore of 49! and second went Steven and we had a turn out of six people.

Played this morning, 8:30, was really a Great day..not as cold as I thought it would be......

Left an Orange Star Wraith in a Tree on the right on 9. Spent 30 min's, played back, still there, spent another 30.

Merry Christmas....will be back early to see if it is still there.

The staff for Texas Women�s Championship is challenging every club in Texas to be a part of the Girly station program for TWC 2008 April 26 & 27. Last year Live Oak set the bar for Girly stations and spurred a friendly competition between the clubs. This year�s winner will be judged by the players and will receive a lil something special for the best girly station during the event to be used for the winning clubs discretion.
So come join us in showing the ladies what Texas hospitality is all about. Please contact Ed or me of your commitment to a girly station.

Nothing that I can think of. I mean we could spread more mulch around baskets, tee boxes and pathways. But I dont think its a NEED.

We need to get some work days going at crowley for the tee pads. I would say you could do a tee pad a week if you do one after every saturday mini.

Somebody told me that they want to do all the tee pads in one day. :confused: I don't think that is possible.

In my opinion the Z looks better than it ever has, when the Z-Boaz Open rolls around it's gunna look great. Casual Mark and I will be out this weekend to do some work, of COURSE some doubles competition will be in order for anyone interested.

trash is the only real problem. it is very hard to contend with with these herds of sorry arse trash throwers. i have to admit that i have not done much trash duty in these past few months. im gonna get back on the ball soon though! everything across the creek is the real pain, unless you have a 4x4

Seems like the work days are always done when I cant be there. I will be there about 2 if you guys are still at it.

The work is done at this point, course care is now up to the players to maintain, she's is is ready for the OPEN!

We couldn't fill 3 trash bags on the front nine today!! That course has not been this clean in a long time. Big Thanks to Shaun Davis, Casual Mark, and Steve for their contribution towards making the trash detail the easiest I have ever experienced out there. Also thanks goes out to Brad, John Hart, and Don Q. That place is looking great, and we will be doing a few things next weekend to make it even better. If you aren't playing on Saturday join me around 10:30 for some easy work.

Just so everyone will know, today the city was out cutting and cleaning some brush and limbs up on the front nine. The tree next to the tee box on 3 looks great, but unfortunitly they also cut down the limb hanging over the fairway on 5.... :( So now the hole is completely open. Its a shame they dont ask first.

kinda reminds me of a certain tree that stood in the midddle of the fairway at Lake Park, on hole five as well, that just disappeared one night, only that wasn't the city, it really was a "dang that limb - casual golfer" that did that :eek:

Played a Practice, Thinking and Pick up Trash Round today. Really hard to understand why a Beer bottle is five feet away from a trash can. More trash on the front than the back.

Basket on 11 moved....duced it twice...I'm sure it will go back.

The branch is gone as far as an obstruction goes on hole 5, but with a little work this spring we can make it tougher for later. This will be your year to get that birdie. Then we will add some teeth and it will be playing tough again for A to Z Doubles.

Brian, the guy you mention is a close friend of mine, his name is Jim McDonald, new to disc golf, anyway I will be out Wednesday of this week doing a little trash detail, if I see any mulch needing attention I'll spread it.

There must have been 70 kids playing today...groups of 7 to 10...don't remember this last Summer. As a newby, I'm just wondering if this is out of the norm.

Doesnt seem to be out the the norm anymore. The city screwed up by putting the "no parking off the pavment" sign in. Now everyone is parking in the street and causing traffic issues. I can see someone getting hit VERY easily out there. And plus, its not summer yet. I have a feeling the crowds will die off a LITTLE when the temp gets up there.
